Large European Wooden Chess and Checkers Multi-Game Set, 19.7 Inches - with Foldable Board, Handcrafted Playing Pieces and Felt-Lined Storage

I am a newbie when it comes to chess, but I can say this seems to be built well, folds up up like a suitcase and storage for the pieces underneath. I do wish the pieces were more secure when storing them, they are kind of all over the place with a spot on either end for the checker pieces. One complaint is you have to take out all the pieces for both games to play, I wish somehow you could just take out the chess pieces and leave the checkers in their spot, but when you flip the board over everything would fall out. Overall nice set, large board, happy with purchase.

I just received the set, and while the set itself seems nice so far, the first thing I noticed is that everything is covered in a green microplastic dust that is coming from the inserts! The moment I opened the set a plume of the dust came out, filled the air, and covered all nearby surfaces. I had to get a vacuum cleaner to try and get most of it up, then had to use it on all the pieces since they too were covered. I'm not pleased about this, I probably breathed in a significant amount of this stuff.I expect better regard for my health from sellers.

Great for teaching kids how to play chess or checkers. The pieces could have been weighed down more, but the set is generally nice. Might be too big for traveling, unless you plan on renting a vacation home for a week, and have loads of room to pack.

The only problem I have with this set is there is no way to unfold it and use it without taking all the pieces and checkers pieces out. There is nothing holding the pieces inside so if you lay it flat then they just fall out. Other than that the pieces are all nicely made and the size of the board is perfect.

Was not worth the money.....pieces came broken,would pay about 25.00 but not a penny more...very disappointed

Cheaper materials than I would have expected for a set that cost this much.

My husband and I love this chess set. We play everyday. The pieces are so nice and it looks really nice sitting on our coffee table. The pieces are large as well as the board, easy for my husband to see. They do fit in the case and probably would roll around, but we never put it away, so that wasn't an issue with us.

Got this for my husband as an anniversary gift. It got here very quickly and it looks very nicely made. As I knew before, the pieces are not fully secure when put away in the compartment but doesn't bother me much since it will stay at home and not be used for travel and such. Very beautifully made and very sturdy. The felt also seems intact. Very nice product.
