Wilton 13 Inch Angled Frosting Spatula, Stainless Steel With an Ergonomic Handle

RE: Wilton Icing Spatula - 13-Inch This spatula is a lot bigger than I imagined. I only wanted it for dishing out small slivers of pie or brownies that are made in a pie plate. The blade itself is about 1 1/8" wide and 6 1/2" long (measuring the flat part up to the bend). It's heavier than I anticipated, solid and well made though it does have slight flexibility which is good. I like that this one does not have stickers stuck to the metal spatula like some have shown on some others. A quick wash and it's ready to use. I think I will order one in the smaller size too.

We've been using two of these for sand castle carving for 3 summers now. No rust, still feel brand new. Go to the beach, make a giant pile of sand, use this spatula like your cutting a cake... carving away the pile, leaving behind a castle. Start from the top middle and work your way down and out. Super easy to make large detailed sand castles. Perfect tools: This spatula, a 5-gal bucket (for wetting sand), and a metal short shovel, a creative mind. The kids will also have a blast, especially since these aren't sharp, they are more like the back of a butter knife.

Bought for a cake decorating class. It worked well and I'm still using it.

This angled spatula makes frosting cakes so much easier! The 13-inch length is perfect for larger cakes, and the angled design keeps your hands out of the icing. The stainless steel blade is sturdy and flexible, and the ergonomic handle is comfortable to grip, even during longer decorating sessions. It gives a smooth, professional finish — a must-have tool for any baker!

Makes quickly frosting cakes so much easier--the longer blade (which I couldn't find at home) makes a nice clean edge and you can get lots of icing onto the cake and edge the whole side of the cake at once. It was especially helpful in frosting a caramel cake since the frosting hardens as it dries, so you don't want to take too long with it. The best way to use this (if you need to frost fast) is to put wax paper strips under the bottom edges of the layer cake (so you can pull them away later and have a clean board/stand/base) and once your cake is assembled, dump a lot/most of your icing on the top of the cake and let it fall down the sides while you spread over the top, then around the sides. Some folks prefer to frost the sides first and build up a lip around the top edge then fill in the top, but I think this takes longer. If you need to build a super clean base for fondant, that's a whole 'nother animal, but for all methods of frosting, there are plenty of you tube videos to be found. This is a great tool! The longer, the better, for full-sized cakes.

Perfect for what I needed!

It's a nice, polished stainless steel spatula. I was worried it wouldn't be long enough, but it's 6.5" from the bend to the end, perfect. (It's hard to gauge size without a reference.) A little more than an inch wide-I like that it's more narrow than other spatulas. I do like the quality of this product and anticipate decades of use. Recommended!

Ich nutze die kleine Palette nahezu immer, wenn ich eine Torte backe. Der Spatel liegt gut in der Hand und der Winkel ist optimal, um auch innerhalb eines Tortenrings bequem Cremes etc. verteilen zu können. Ich möchte die kleine Palette nicht mehr missen.
