I love my bikes. Very pleased with the quality. I changed a few things. I used hitch pins instead of bolts and nuts on the bottom bars and running boards so I can easily detach the pontoons for transport. You really have to.pump it up for a long time to get the psi to register on the pump regulator. I pumped them to just under 5. I changed the grips to ergonomic bike grips. I added a wider softer seat. I also had my hubby splice and extra 11 inches to the handle bar post so I could sit more upright so my back wouldn't hurt. I rock hunt lake shores and I go for hours so I need comfort. These things are fast and fun!!! I bought 2 so my friend can go with me. No regrets. We had a blast riding around.

I put as much air in the tubes as I thought safe and they still weren’t rigid. Makes balancing an art to learn.

I bought both types of water bikes from this company. I bought the one with the pontoons and also with the SUP boards. I personally prefer the look of the SUP boards but almost prefer the pontoons for performance and steering. I don't think you can go wrong with either. The bikes are pretty fast and I can easily go out with someone on a paddle board or kayak and keep up with them rowing at a decent pace. My customer experience has been great via amazon message. I had an issue with one pontoon losing air and they quickly sent me a video on how to adjust the valve within 24 hours. I mistakenly threaded the one crank incorrectly and they sent me a replacement crank no questions asked. The big bonus: You can get replacement parts locally for some items. I dropped a quick release when putting the handle bars on in the lake. I was also able to buy the replacement crank locally to use temporarily while the new item is coming to match. The size is either printed or punched on to the part and it is metric. If it was a core part to the bike that is non-standard you would definitely need help from the manufacturer which I have had a great experience with. Shout out to Derek! I don't know how the bike will be in 5 years but regardless I feel it is worth it for even that period of time. Lastly...easy to disassemble if you want to travel with it. I don't, but it would be very easy.

I am in love with a boat. A bike boat, or water bike, to be exact! This bike is SO MUCH fun to ride!! It moves very quickly through the water, even found myself making a small wake as I pedaled along. It is also a GREAT conversation starter. People we passed by were asking me about it and complimenting it.I would also note that this bike is INCREDIBLY stable!! You can stand on one side, on one pontoon, and this bike will not flip on you. Kids could handle this bike no problem!There is one thing that I would note that I didn’t find in other reviews:I was hoping I could transport it by putting the bike part on a bike rack, and throw the pontoons in the back of my SUV. No such luck. Once you put this bike together, you CANNOT remove the pontoons from the frame. They are permanently mounted. You will need a roof rack or trailer to haul this bike. (I actually ended up throwing rolled up rugs under it on my roof and strapping it down. It made it from NC to Delaware without any problem).

This is a high quality lightweight water bike with great engineering. I received it in 25 days with great packaging and in perfect condition. I live in lake havasu city and this is a great way to cruise around the lake and through the bridgewater channel with ease while getting some excercise at the same time. It assembles and disassembles in minutes which allowed me to take it to the lake in the trunk of my car! This bike scoots along surprisingly fast with easy pedaling. (Highly recommended lake bike.)

I will start by saying that I really enjoy using the bike. However, I have had a mixed experience with trying to obtain replacement parts. The response via email has been slow, at least partially because the representative is in China. After using the bike for 10 months, the (coiled spring) drive for the propeller sheared in half, primarily due to corrosion. I became frustrated at the slow response in my attempts to obtain a replacement part, because the bike was useless to me without this. I finally received adequate response after writing a scathing review on this site. However, the representative did ultimately make it up to me, to some degree, by sending over a few extra, useful replacement parts. Thus I have changed my one star rating to three stars. Please just be aware that it may take days or weeks to receive a response to emails from this company. As an aside, I plan to modify the drive shaft by adding a grease fitting, allowing me to fill the drive shaft with grease to both reduce friction and protect against corrosion.
