It takes 4 AA Batteries which are included. There is only an on and off setting with an easy to use push button. What I like the most about this light is the fact that it is bright, but doesn't blind you. Right now I'm using it as I write this review as a desk lamp. It provides enough light for me to see what I need to see without blinding me. This light is water resistant, that makes it great for camping or emergency lighting during natural disasters. Its a very light weight light. It has a handle on the top to hang it. The light is very bright, uses 4 AA batteries. Would be useful for nighttime outdoor use, power outages in your home (safer than candles), camping. I was surprised at how bright this light is. I can't wait to try other Brivation lights. I am impressed by the amount of light this little lantern puts out. For the size the light projection is quite good. It adequately lit my entire bedroom when hung up high. (Bedroom is 16x20) You can't twist and remove the top part of the lantern to take out the opaque white dome piece which will give you a less concentrated but brighter light. I prefer the softer dome light though.The light does not get hot to the touch making it a good option for kids to use. It is safer, brighter, and more convenient than candles. One thing to note though is that the lantern runs off of 4 AA batteries and it will go through them pretty fast if you use the light for extended periods at a time.This product was provided to me at no cost for my testing in order to try the product out and give feedback about my personal experience and opinions.

This is a nice bright LED lantern. I am pleased with the look and quality. It works so well and can light the whole room easily. It takes batteries that last a good long time. The button is easy to work even for my son. The handle has a hook that pops put so you can hang it from a hook for easy access. This is very durable and well made my son has already dropped it a couple times and it still works fine. This is a great light.I purchased this product for a reduced price to make an honest and unbiased review.
