No, the top and base coats are not included.

Is the red glitter a true christmas red?

It can be. What I do is paint a pink or red under the glitter red to make it a deeper color. The darker under color the darker the glitter red.

The polish is beautiful but way to thick . Can anything be done to thin it out??

Due to its feature, glitter gel nail polish is naturally thicker than regular color gel polish. If you find it too thick to apply, try warm it up by sitting it in hot water or using a hair dryer. For your reference, we used the second method when taking photos.
