Initial review!
This is just an initial review so if any problems arise i will update on both experience and customer service, which customer service already seems on point!. Upon opening, the product looks very nice and seems to be very goid quality. Magnet it strong but not so strong that its hard to pull your phone off, although i havnt driven with it yet so idk how it will stand up against bumps or potholes. I also have very limited places on my dash that i would prefer my phone to be and had to put it on a smooth plastic, yet slightly curved surface with hardly enough space to even have the entire base touching. I drive a 2014 hundai veloster. But with the nice sticky/suction i was able to secure it fairly well with a little repositioning. Only time will tell if i have to move it elsewhereUpdate: Traded cars and had it on my window. Got well over a years worth of use out of it which id say is worth the price. However the sticky pad did finally melt (as most will in a hot car over 2 summers) making it unusable. I am rebuying this as i still believe its one of the best mounts out there. I also recommended it to my parents and theirs are still going strong

Just stick it where the sun don't shine!
I'm used to mounting my phone on the windshield next to my radar detector and below the rear view mirror, everything within sight without having to look away from the road. In this case, some iPhone apps don't rotate to landscape, so the length of the neck of the mount was too short for my ginormous IPhone 7 plus in a case to be able to use aesthetically.Well since that didn't work, I decided to try the dashboard, just to the right of the steering wheel, and visual range. It stuck and was really in a convenient spot. It's a textured dash, so it caught me by surprise when it stuck like a barnacle. The only downside was, this setup was done before the sun came out the next day and scorched the friggin' interior. I got into my car mid afternoon, placed my phone and kaput, that was it, no more dashboard mounting. But this suction cup is one of a kind and will stick to anything right? In my car, there's a good sized overhang below the dashboard. It stuck there, and hasn't released the seal, let my phone slide, and has lasted through triple digit heat and bumpy roads. So stick it where the sun won't be a problem if you're in Arizona.

OK +
Initially disappointed as the base fell off the next day after applied. But I cleaned it and stuck it back on my dash, and it is still holding tight a day later. Will time tell? I love the extension arm, as it lifts the phone way from my AC vent, but it does give a bit of bounce and jitter to the phone while traveling over bumpy terrain. But that doesn't seem to affect the phone's functions, the reflections on the blank screen do grab your eye more, being a little distracting. I will hold on to my vent mount system that I bought also, due to bad experiences with other sticky dash mounts. Until this one can full prove to handle the heat of NC and the fact that the State can't fix the roads. I know the vent mount will hold tight, but it blocks some of the airflow out of the vent.

Do NOT reccomend this product!
Was very difficult and frustrating for me to snap the two pieces together. I'm fairly strong, but finally had to set it on my desk and lean into it using my body strength to get it to snap together. Impossible to do just using my hands. Also, I have a new 2017 Toyota Rav4 and the spot I was hoping it would work on the dash simply won't work. There's a slight curve to the surface and it just won't stay in place. Still haven't found a usable place for it so may have to return it and go back to the drawing board.UPDATE: Unfortunately this did NOT work well at all! So lowering my review to one star at this point. Once I got the pieces together, I struggled to find a place where it would stay on my new 2017 Rav4 where it would be useable (meaning not too much in my line of vision while I drive, in a place where I could also have the phone charging when I drive, and where I could reach it with my right hand). I settled on a spot on the dash that was flat, as the directions instruct. It seemed to suction great and I thought it was going to be awesome since it was very user friendly on my drive to work. By the time I came out at the end of the day - it was on the floor!!!! Perhaps because it was in the sun? Not sure how you keep something "out of direct sunlight" that goes on the dashboard of a vehicle!Consequently, I do NOT recommend this product. It was a waste of $25.00 and I don't have the packaging anymore to send it back! Disappointed!!!

Gecko grip works for cellphone cases that are already magnetic
I use this with my Samsung Galaxy S5 and stuck it on the dashboard of my 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe. My phone case was already magnetic since I have a phone case that's also a wallet and it works perfectly with the Gecko grip's magnetic end, so that was a definite highlight. I have the gecko on my dashboard and although it took a few tries to get it to stick properly once I had it on it seems to work.I haven't gone on a long road trip with it yet so can't speak to that but I think it would work well in terms of staying on the dashboard.

May have found a winner...
UPDATE 5/31/18: Unfortunately this mount also falls off in the hot summer sun. And the magnet could be stronger for my LG G6.------------------------Seems much better product than the cheapo version I had. In the summer heat, the gel coating on the suction cup melted and the whole thing would slide down my windshield several inches leaving a gooey mess. This unit is beefier even though a similar gel coating. Will have to see if it stands up to the heat. Also, the magnet on this one is stronger and holds my phone more securely. I'll soon be needing a new phone which will be even heavier than my current, so a stronger magnet is in order. Hopefully, no more potholes jarring my phone loose. One thing I would like to see is a clip attachment that could swap out with the magnet. The cheapo unit came with one. Will see if it fits on this one, though I doubt it.
