Cheap product - you get what you pay for
The foam is not as thick as you’d expect and any slip/fall will likely still shock/hurt your LO, although not as much as hitting the ground directly. The mat is easily damaged if anything falls on it - my older son dropped a light cardboard puzzle board on the mat and it left a big hole. This is after I received one that already had holes in it and had exchanged it. It serves a purpose but will be purchasing a more durable mat instead.

Really wanted to like it. Really cheap material, pierced through within 6 hours of receiving in multiple spots

The item was slippery so the baby is not able to crawl across may easily.
