My doctor had me submit blood work for a SPECTROX assessment. The results indicated that I was deficient in Serine (this amino acid helps breakdown proteins). I started on L-Serine as soon as the Amazon order arrived. I have been taking 1000 mg daily with meals for about 1.5 months. I feel so much better and as a by product I am slowly loosing weight and my cravings are diminished considerably. As mentioned by another user, the local health food stores do not carry this.
