nicely made, but didn't do anything for me.
they are a very well made product, machined nicely, and while they did email me the instructions after i bought it. it doesn't work that well. i'm thinking this would probably work better if another person used it on me.the way it works is like this: you use the scraper end to scoop the gunk out, if there is any. but you can't judge how far to go in, and i don't want to go too far. mostly i end up tickling myself that makes my jaw itch. the spring end, doesn't remove the stuff, it supposed to massage the ear.i bought this thinking it would be better than those silicone ones i saw on tv, thinking that the spiral would do something. but it doesn't much do anything. it does come in a nice case, that's a little hard to open. i'm not sure if these have other uses though, maybe in the shop? but since i can't see what i'm doing, these don't work that well. a q-tip is not what your supposed to use, but it absorbs so you have a fighting chance of it helping.it seems this is designed for impacted wax, which i don't have, or if i do, i don't want to drive these in too deep. if you have basic ears, these may not work out for you. otherwise they are nicely made. The company was easy to work with and strive for a satisfied customer, they refunded me for the purchase.

Husband likes it.
My husband has a constant itch in his ears and is always going through q-tips like crazy. He said this thing did the trick to scratch the itch. He doesn't have to continually prod.It is quality, and I like that I don't have to spend so much onq-tips. It does seem to scrape all that gunk and dead skin out. He did mention that the satisfying feeling of a cotton q-tip in the ear, the kind that makes you go dumb for a minute, is not something the spoolie insturment is good at.Also in the instructions it warns you not to accidentally injure yourself by pushing to far or hard on the eardrum. So for those who use q-tips heavily, and are used to really getting in there, your will have to be careful and try to use them gently.I am just happy that he is not pushing wax farther into his ear and that I am not finding random q-tips strewn about the house.

AMAZING!
My teenager always has wax build up! I used to take him to the doctor often to have her remove it. I finally started to become Dr. Mom and would use a bobby pin and carefully removed to buildup myself. It's just the way he's born, there is nothing special we can do to reduce the amount of wax this kid accumulates. I was shopping for something else when i came across this kit on Amazon. I thought to myself, YES! finally something that will actually help me get this kids ears clean! I was pleased by the photos that the one tool has a scoop like end and the other is more like a metal q-tip/honeycomb. I was able to use this other night on him and it worked PERFECTLY! I am so glad i bought this kit! I was able to get so much wax out with this! The ONLY thing that would make this kit better is if it came with a little flashlight of some sorts to help see into the ear canal but other than that, it works like a charm!

Both tools are quite comfortable to use
Got this for a number of reasons: ran out of q-tips, trying to be more ecologically responsible, and this appealed to my frugal self. Both tools are quite comfortable to use; they seem sturdy enough. Some people are saying that there aren't any instructions, but instructions are available in the description of the item on the website, not actually with the item shipped; no sense in wasting trees for something that will just get tossed five seconds after reading it. But really... Simple common sense will suffice. You have to be gentle. You can't go shoving these things in your ear willy-nilly.I have incredibly small ears. My left ear, I have never really been able to get a q tip into properly to clean it, the scoop tool had no problem at all. The whisk-looking tool is more q-tip like and some might prefer that to the scoop one.If you want to dry your ears, like after a shower, these tools aren't good for that. Plain cotton q-tips are better, but for cleaning out wax, they do well enough.

Effective and Comfortable
I don't think my ear have ever been this clean. I have never been a fan of cotton swab Q-tips. It always felt like I was pushing the wax deeper into my ear, and then I read online that, that is exactly what happens. These two tools have enabled me to safely and comfortably clean my ears. The spiral spring tip grabs wax very effectively, and the small scrapper cleans out any hard to get out dried wax. I saw the doctor the other day, and she told me that my ear were wax free and very clean. What more of a comment of the effectiveness of my new ear cleaning system.

good, does the job
On the scoop there is a slight lift of the metal which looks like a manufactuing issue but it does not do anything to effect how I use the product. I clean my ears out once a week now instead of every two days like I did with q-tips so It is much more effective. I have to work on steadying my hand so I don't brush so hard on the ear canal so if you have hand tremors or issues with your arms like I do then make sure to be careful with how you hold your arms. Overall the product is good, I understand the scoop design i just wish it were a bit less hooked so I could use it around the outer ear without having to dig.

Best option I guess
I recently went to get custom ear plugs and that involves filling your years with foam that hardenes and then is used as a mold.Well..I thought I had my ears clean, untill the lady in the office grabbed a sharp metal tool and started pulling out earwax that I had pushed in my right ear by using q-tips for so long. I was stunned . So I started looking around for new ways to clean my years and I encountered these. The little spring tool I haven't found a way to use yet, but the claw-like tools I've used a few times and I feel I get a good clean without pushing more ear wax further in my ear canal.I'd say I made a good purchase with this. If anyone had experience like mine, they would think the same, I am sure.
