Great training tool and durable
This is a great training tool - especially for a dog that’s not very vocal. It’s also durable. I’ve had it for a while and no issues with it.

Worked a little too well, maybe!
The media could not be loaded. We are working on potty training for our 4-month-old puppy, so we decided to try some bells since she was struggling to grasp the concept. She figured it out VERY quickly! However, she also figured out that by ringing it, she could go outside and play, so it made it difficult to actually potty train because we never knew when she really needed to go out, or just wanted to play, and she would ask to go out every few minutes. Eventually we did take them down because of it, however I do believe that they could work well for other dogs. I still rated it 5 stars because I think it does work well to teach a dog to go outside, it just wasn't right for our household. Other positives include durability, sturdiness, and the handy ability to change the length for your needs. Video included with one of our older dogs demonstrating, as he too figured it out very quickly, even though he is already long past potty training and didn't need it himself. I would recommend at least giving it a try! It might be perfect for your pups!

Works too good.
It is a little too easy for our dog. We were hoping she’d ring it only when she had to go out. Nope. She does it when she has to, but also when she doesn’t have to, but wants to sniff the air. Some training is needed so we don’t have to open the door for her so often.

Bell Trained Puppy
Anyone who has raised a puppy knows that potty training can be trying. We trained our 8 week old golden retriever how to use the bells within a matter of days and it has been great. With a lot of positive reinforcement and practice our girl rings the bell to let us know when she needs to go out instead of having accidents in the house.

Had my puppy trained in 2 weeks
Highly highly recommend this for new fur mamas and papas. I used this starting the first day we brought out puppy home. The trick is consistency. We created a routine around it and it had him potty trained in 2 weeks, no joke. Of course puppies have accidents here and there, but the few accidents that happened were either my fault or an upset tummy. Every single morning first thing we did was go tot ye back door, I would pick up his paw and hit the bells and say the same thing, you need to go to the bathroom? Every single time. Then for the first week, every 30 mins (I know it’s a lot, I set a timer and I work from home, which I know everyone can’t do that, so it might take longer if you don’t) I would take him tot ye back door, pick his paw up, but the bell, and say the same thing. After the first week, we changed to every hour. Same thing, lift paw, say words, go potty. After two weeks he started to donut on his own, but I kept a up the routine for about a month to make sure he got it. He did start to play with the bells so each time he played with them and they made noise I took him out, even if I knew he didn’t have to go, and showed him you hit the bell, we go outside. Sometimes we went outside 5x in an hour because he was just playing with them. Eventually that stopped, and a year later he still uses tue bell to let us know he wants to go outside. Although, not it’s mostly because he wants to play fetch.

bells at odd heights
This works great but I had to modify it for my french bulldogs. The bell height is very weird so I used the sewing machine to allow bells to be in the middle of the two bell locations provided. Now it suits us.

Bell training is the best!
My pup struggled the first 2 months with potty training which is what we expected, once i learned that pee pads aren’t going to get him trained to potty outside i was recommended the bell method. bought this, nothing crazy & it did the job perfectly! my pup picked ir up in a week! now he is fully potty trained and rings the bell when he needs to potty!
