I bought this whistle to use in an emergency. It is made from a beautiful polished brass and comes with a sturdy brass ring at the top that is securely attached so it could hang from a chain, leather or lanyard without fear of losing it. It is 1.75 inches long and has a 1.25 inch circumference. The weight of it doesn't hurt my neck at all even when I wear it a long time, but I can still tell that it is definitely built for serious business because of its weight. As an emergency or survival whistle it is easy to carry and it is LOUD! It doesn't take a lot of air to blow it, an important factor for me since one of the reasons I wear it is because I am a high risk for falls. I always carry my cell phone with me, but I never know when I might be injured enough I don't have both hands to work my phone. This is a perfect solution because either hand singly could use it.I wear mine hanging on a gold-plated necklace because it's pretty enough it can wear it outside my top or inside my top when the movement of the chain bothers me. Either way, it's easy to reach and I know it will definitely get the attention of my neighbors, friends and family who are all aware of my personal disabilities and limitations.I purchased this whistle at a discount with the agreement I would provide an honest and unbiased review. I rated it five stars because it's an effective and simple method of notifying someone that I need help and helping them locate me easily.

I bought this 6 months ago and its been with me ever since. It's super loud and has a slim design. attaches to any key set I have or even my swiss army knife. It's slick. I need to order another one for my wife.
