Just great
I'm a DofE leader and as we use the New Forest for expeditions, my map gets a great deal of use. Apart from the excellent OS cartography, these plastic 'Active' maps are pretty much bomb-proof. You can write on them, use them in the rain etc and they are still in one piece. I'm not sure I'll ever buy a paper map again.

OS Maps - Best in the World
Well it's an OS Explorer map - what more can you say? Inevitably, the bit you want is probably on the edge of the map, and it is huge which can be a bloody nuisance, but that's par for the course with OS. For smaller walks you might want to hunt down the smaller, cheaper excerpts that they do as these also have the added benefit of being plasticised and therefore water proof. These can oftenbe found at local Tourist Information shops for a couple of pounds. Also beware of the digital download: If, like me, you already have the OS MapFinder app, the free digital download does NOT come via this app but a separate one called OS Maps (of course, why would it be otherwise?). Apparently the difference is that MapFinder tiles are smaller and will always be updated whereas the other app will give you the whole of the paper map in digital form but is not updated. This i a bit annoying and resulted in me having the paper map, two of the smaller plasticised maps, several MapFinder tiles and (eventually) the digital copy of the paper map, all covering the same area. If I ever get lost in the New Forest then clearly I am an evolutionary dead end.

It's a map, of the new forest
It is an OS map of the new forest. If you don't know what that is you probably don't need it!MIL is very happy with it and perfect for walking navigation.

Great maps but it takes an idiot to miss the map on the reverse
Sadly this map does not cover the area in the description, or it does if the idiot who was viewing it looked on the reverse! Greta map divided into two parts, the New Forest in the East and Bournemouth and the greater conurbation of Christchurch, Ferndown, Verwood to the West. Stunning mapping as always. Well worth 5 stars.

this map is double sided
I liked the idea of having a map of the whole of the New Forest, what I did not realise was that it is double sided. This can be problematic when trying to follow a journey from one side to the other.

Included mobile app excellent
Paper map great for planning a route, then use the mobile app for the journey - tracks where you are on a detail section of the paper map using your phone. Also not reliant on phone signal, as uses GPS to track your position. Loved it.

Good delivery.
This map very clear map information as OS always do. This was a gift for our son who with his family are to holiday in the new forest to cycle. Within.
