After more than a year of using this one, I love it. With a small modification to the Yihua soldering Iron (Yihua 907i), the Yihua 907i works perfectly with this soldering station avoiding the costly original soldering iron.

I owned my first XYtronic de-soldering station and a hot tweezers back in the 90's. As I recalled the model for the de-soldering station was 999. This soldering station is actually made by XYtronic, model number LF-1600. I still have them and they operate well for their price points. I always want a high power soldering station that can handle both SM components and through hole components. This model can handle big terminals for drones, battery, helicopter, etc. perfectly. Besides, with the small tips, this model works well with surface mount components of the latest Ham radio and Marine Radio. Antique radios are no problem to be soldered by this model, too. The soldering wand is small, light weight. Fast heating/sleep mode are ones of its advantage. With 85W and the appropriate tips, you won't destroy the SMC and its circuit board. The price is perfect compared to the low ends soldering stations that made by Hakko, Weller, Edsyn, Metca, etc. Go ahead solder it.

I would have given this 5 stars but I had to leave it outside for a month to stop smelling.When it first arrived, it had an overwhelming oder (like a new car tire smell with a hint of tire fire...)I literally left it outside on the porch for a month and when I'd leave the house I'd smell it from 15 feet away.The smell is completely gone now and I've been using it routinely with no issues. I'd totally recommend the item other than the smell. Would buy again even with that issue as this is the best solder station I've used.
