This hook was a lot less expensive than what was available locally. It was adequately packaged and undamaged upon arrival.I didn’t expect it to have shipped with such high quality stainless steel hardware but it did. It attached to a standard pool pole. I advise purchasers to also buy a designated pole solely for hook use.

Arrives oddly wrapped but then it's also an odd shape. Just glad it didn't get liat with the way it looks. Unwrapping was a bit of a pain.Once opened I thought it was odd to see only 1 bolt 🔩 and not 2 for the 2 holes. This was quickly explained when I installed it on our pole as only 1 of thr two holes lined up. In my case I could use either hole as they fit but opted for the hole that left the smallest gap between the top of my pole and the top of the attachment portion of the hooks pole. After screwing the bolt in, it does have the slightest play and wiggle between the pole and hook. I would think this is expected because you do need some spacing to allow the two to slide together otherwise it would be a pain to install. It's a really nice design. The width is wide enough to fit the average torso. It has a nice curve with a slightly bent tip. The bent tip is a nice touch as it would guide the pole under the torso better that the straight curved tip which would poke the torso. Hope you follow what I mean. We got this as a way to allow anyone to quickly help or offer support if needed. The last thing we want is grandma to jump in to help and find herself needing help. All in all I'd recommend having one of these to shave second off from helping. We use it on a dedicated pole of its own thst sits on the fence of thr long side of the pool near the staircase for quick access.

Works just as advertised

Overall I am pleased with this hook. I had an accident where I misstepped walking by my pool and broke my leg. I fell into yhe pool but was able to get myself out. I thought what would have happened if I hit my head and was unconscious. My wife or kids would not be able to pull me from the deep end of the pool. This hook will allow them to pull someone to the edge and keep them there until help arrives. This is a must have if you own a pool.

Solid device fits any pool pole. I like the fact it comes with washer closure making it harder to remove. Last thing you want in emergency is for your device to dislodge

I purchased this safety hook not only for safety but to hook my pool cleaner out of pool corners and steps. It works great. I had used it once to hook my Pug puppy out of pool when he decided to chase the Polaris cleaner.

Ordered this as an insurance requirement. It satisfied the insurance company and is as described. Very sturdy and fit on my standard pole.

Ordered as extra safety precaution around pool. Easy to install. Hope we never need it!
