Did not work for me. I needed a product that would hold the weight of a heavy hanging plant, but the rope system doesn't lower the way I needed it too.

Needed this for various outdoor purposes. It is much cheaper in Amazon than at the local home improvement store. I have used it for moving heavy buckets of feed and deer corn at my hunting plot. Used this product today on my kayaks and it is very awesome. I used it in a couple different ways, firstly to strap the nose of my boats while having them on my roof rack kept them from blowing around and provided a much needed safety line in case of breakage. I feel much more safe having this line connecting the nose to the hood of my car in heavy winds now, very good peace of mind. Secondly I used this while anchored out I could connect to my wifes kayak and keep us both on a fishing spot. There are many different uses I could probably find for this thing, but these are the two I came up with today lol. This is a true heavy duty light hook. I have used smaller racheting light hooks in the past, but wanted a heavy-duty hook for new high power (heavy and not cheap) LED lights. This hook will ensure my investment stays safely hanging where it should.In addition to the thick steel hardware (you won't bend this accidentally the internal gears are beefy - and open so you can always see the condition.The cord is similarly oversized and fits into the racheting mechanism like a glove.I received this product at a discount for my fair and honest review.The photo shows this Heavy duty light hook on the bottom compared to a standard light hanger on top to show how much larger this hook and cord are.

I used these for an indoor grow lamp I was testing out and they help up great. The length and ease of use was really nice. The quality of the metal clips were solid. The length of rope was long and worked well for what I needed with plenty to spare.

Very Cool, Works just as advertised. I got a discount for trying this out and I think I'll be buying more. Works for more than just lights too! I hung a netted trellis with it.
