I adore the Turner Japanesque Acryl Gouache. I also have a full set of the more traditional Turner Acryl Gouache, which is also amazing, but I PREFER the Japanesque Acryl Gouache. The difference is that the Japanesque gouache has a different, grittier texture, almost coarse, as if small grains of sand were scattered throughout. This quality makes it seem as if the Japanesque Acryl Gouache were more difficult to paint with, but the opposite is actually true. The rich texture creates a stunning texture that enhances your work FOR you. Yes: FOR you. Your work is more strikingly appealing instantly. Plus, the colors in this set are ASTONISHING, and, yes, they handily beat out the more traditional colors in the other set. Pale greens, cloud-wisp blues, shockingly deep crimsons, a deep pink that resonates with beauty and charm. The colors, I promise you, are breathtaking. BREATHTAKING. Earthy, bold, unusual--to die for. I love this small set so much that I IMMEDIATELY ordered the larger set. Yes, I fell in love at first sight. At first painting. The only con to the Turner Acryl Gouaches (both sets, the regular and the Japanesque) is that their longevity is not terrific. Plan to use up each set in about a year, and you'll be safe. The paint goes bad much faster than I expected. Otherwise, I ADORE this set and predict that I'll have no trouble using it up pronto.

bizarre, chaque couleur laisse une texture de sable une fois sec, comme du papier de verre à gros grain ! pas très agréable, sauf peut être pour servir de sous-couche à un travail à la craie pastel tendre, là ok. Je suis déçu. Pourtant les autres boites "standard" de Arcyl gouache Turner n'ont ni la même texture et peuvent se mélanger facilement. Suis-je tombé sur une mauvaise fabrication ?

The colors are nice. Before buying, however, you should be aware that the paint itself has a grainy texture and is more matt than brilliant in color. It can also be mixed with other acrylic gouache paints from other brands. Every color is different, but once you get used to the structure, it is easy to work with.

As a Painter, I keep researching high-quality art products, this is an excellent range of color hues, the colors are not stiff, nor runny, you can use them straight out of the tube, and they are at the higher end compared to competitors, but a 100% opaque and great for small draft sketches, drawings or final artwork. Really great Manga swatch of colors for real art professionals.
