Wonderful product!

These do a pretty marginal job of cooling a drink -- I bought these quickly based on the good reviews and didn't notice that almost all of the reviewers had gotten the product for a "generous discount" (or similar term). Don't make the same mistake.

The were nice and cold for the first few minutes. Then they were not. I was so glad I didn't spend a lot on these. My recommendation is to try stainless steel.

Impressions of ice stones by ZeltinAlso called whiskey stones sometimes – they don’t melt so they wont water down your drinkThey come in a nice simple pine box with the seller’s logo on it. Its nothing super fancy, but it’s functional and gives you a place to put them. I’ve found it particularly handy when putting in the freezer. I just put the entire box in there so nothing rolls around. Zeltin has also included a velvet pouch in the box, I can imagine for if you prefer that instead of the box. I have never used it but it’s nice to have the option either way.The stones themselves are smaller than I expected. I expected ice cube sized. Its not bad, just worth noting. I’m not a rock expert, so I don’t know exactly what kind of stone these are. It almost looks to me like rough granite, but I really have no idea. One thing I will say is that they look very nice, and when wet have a very classy masculine appearance. Because they are stone, the only thing they add to your drink is coldness and their lookOne thing that did surprise me a bit, which it completely shouldn’t have, is that they don’t float. I know, they are rocks in liquid, they shouldn’t float, but in my mind they are just ice cubes that don’t melt, so when they didn’t float I was a little surprised. Because of that though, they don’t get in the way when your drinking like ice cubes do, so I’ve found myself tending to prefer them over regular ice.After your done, they wash up well and go right back in the freezer for another day. All in all I really love this product and highly recommend them. It’s a very simple concept, but it adds a bit of beauty and style that I like, and at the end of the day, it serves its purpose of keeping cold things cold.I did receive this product at a discount for review and testing purposes. So when I saw stones, meant for whiskey, I really didn't know what to expect from these. They looked honestly rather scratchy and porous in the photos, so I assumed they would feel rough and soak up liquid, neither seeming like a good idea. I was actually talking myself out of these and into steel whiskey "stones", when I was offered these at a discount in exchange for my review; so I figured why not try them out at least!The set arrived, and was in a small wooden box. The box itself is nice, and inside were all nine stones and a small black bag. I kept the bag as a spacer, but I'll store them in the freezer without the bag.I picked up a stone and was shocked. These are smooth and polished, despite their look. They don't have a shiny gloss look, they look very natural, and yet they are polished gem-smooth. They have rounded corners, and now I believe it when they say that they won't scratch a glass! They do stay cold for awhile, longer than I take to finish my whiskey, and they add a touch of class to the whole process, which I love.All in all, whiskey stones are a great way to drink cold whiskey without watering it down, and these stones are a great option out there. I love these!

These are really cool! They get cold quickly, and stay cold a long time. I'm not a huge fan of whiskey, but I did try these in my vodka. It made my vodka a lot smoother. And it tasted better too. It was cherry vodka, and you could taste more cherry with it in it than without it.They come in a cool little wooden box, and with a soft bag, too. I used the soft bag to freeze mine. It's convenient, and you can fit it anywhere in your freezer. This is a very nice, solid quality ice stone set. There are nine ice stones, a soft bag inside a wooden decorative box. This would be a wonderful gift for someone, you would just have to put a bow on top of it (it is that nice). These nine ice stones are great for your cocktail drinks. They keep your drink very cold and they don't water your drink down. I also like how these ice stones look inside your cocktail, they are very classy looking. I like that these nine ice stones stay cold for a very long time, much longer then pieces of ice. It is a wonderful way to keep your drinks cold. I would highly recommend these.
