Nice unit
I'm really impressed with the overall finish quality and ease of installation of the fuel water separator filter. Honestly I think it's exceptionally nice for the price I paid and I got way more value than I expected.

DANGEROUS PRODUCT---DO NOT USE
First of all, instructions said to disconnect tank from filter and top part to lube. Filter was on so tight I couldn't remove it easily. Filled the reservoir as instructed and hooked up gas lines. Fuel was leaking out of nylon screw at bottom. I tried to tighten it and it broke off making the whole thing worthless. I have two motors running parallel lines. One separator seems to work ok, the other I'll have to replace. I plan to buy locally.EDIT. 2 out of 2 separators failed. Had to use tephlon in the fittings, but bowl and filter top still leaked no matter how they were adjusted. Used the bowl from my old Honda brand separator, but top of filter still leaked. luckily I bought some 3/8-3/8 barb couplers so I could bypass the separators.

A must for keeping gas powered items safe also !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are like many people who keep extra gas on hand then you know all to well it can get all screwed up over time and by that I mean lose some of it's fumes that make it easy for the spark to ignite .If stored in a container that is not tightly sealed your gas will simply evaporate and you will be left with less gas and what does remain will have some water in it. NOT GOOD !! Here is the cause that few people know about. Liquid gas does some crazy things. Below 68 deg. f . it pulls in to its liquid state some air ,with moisture and also some of it's own vapor you can see this as it happens . Notice a well sealed gas can that is 1/2 full , below 68 Deg. the sides of the can will be sucked in with about a negative 2 psi. Now the 10 percent alcohol will absorb any water in the air. If your gas tank or can is vented as it has to be while the engine is running ,above 68 deg . f. gas starts to boil off and would pressureize to up to 2 psi. if the tank or can is sealed it will expand out ,on a vented tank you will never notice this except your gas goes BYBY and now the alcohol holds more and more water THAT IS WHERE THIS DEVICE can remove it before it screws up stuf like a stuck intake valve stem and fouled carb. I now have 4 of the water sep. in use . by ---HERB THE POWERMAN--- PS . If you store gas for the long hall it has to be in a sealed container ,not vented but be aware it will expand and contracted by 2 to 3 lbs. as the temperature goes above and below 68 deg, f. make sure your storage can can take the pressure changes. store all tanks and cans outside and away from a living space or garage . don't put them next to the barbaque pit or under your mother-in-law's bed!!!!!!!!! The gas can last many years.

Created a mini fuel polisher
Great value. But before installation take it apart. Filter, drain & plug took a vice and significant forces to unscrew the parts. Lube and reassemble so you will be able to change filters in the future. No ball gravity check valve like a Racor.I used it to pump out my sailboat diesel from the bottom of the tank to check for water and/or sediment of particles or bugs.I would consider using one as a backup filter to be switched into place of a clogged primary (& main Racor) filter.

Great price, easy to adapt to specific instalations.
I installed one of these on my welder several years ago. I have found it to be very reliable. Far fewer starting issues after long periods of non use. I just installed one on my Diesel tractor after an episode frozen fuel filters and fuel lines. I'm confident this will make my tractor more reliable in the Winter months.

Solid value, but screwed on too tight
This thing is not too bad of a value, but when it arrived I tried to unscrew the filter and there was no way I could get it off. Even with a filter wrench I couldn't get it to budge. I am hoping that I can puncture the filter with a tool and get it off when it is time to change it. Even the clear bowl was too tight and I ended up cracking one of the tabs trying to get it off. I was thinking about returning it but I need it right away to mock up some plumbing.
