3.5 stars..
Firstly to start with what a beautiful cover...I love watching stars and moon sooo I fell completely in love with the cover. There are 59 poems and 14 short poems. The thing I liked is that even the ABOUT THE BOOK part is written in poem format. The names of few poems are very difficult and I had to google them. After every poem there is a photo and the author has given photo credits to them. Some poems are soo true and real and it will hit you hard like a poem named "CRUMBLING"..I even liked Laudatory, Axiom, Home, If I love you, Bliss, Raw. Even though some names are hard but the poem inside it easy to understand. Some lines from this book" The fighting mothermade her last wish for a tub of ice creamThat night the hospital room saw,the happiest a family had ever been in it."

A good read
For someone like me who never reads poems this book was a good start. It spoke of depression and suffering. Some of the poems I could relate to and all the poems we're extremely emotional.

A feel good book for poetry lovers
Somewhere I talk to the moon.Blurb:I asked The moonwhat it felt.It smiled, then cried a little.I asked The moonhow it felt.It said, ‘dark and Lonely.’It looked at me,it smiled. It said,‘much better now.’I said to the moonit must be beautiful up there. It smiled, then cried a little.I said to the moonwhat if I joined you?It looked at me,it smiled. It said,‘much better.’...Review:Reading this book was like visiting an old friend and having tea with them. I found myself reminiscing the good times, the old good times and it made me feel so overwhelmed with emotions. I guess that's what poetry is meant for, to make you feel things. I am still in awe of how beautiful this book is, embedded with pictures and intricately carved by the poems. Absolutely loved this piece of art and highly recommending it to everyone who loves poetry.

Worth a shot!
Reading ‘Somewhere, I Talk to the Moon’ reminded me of an old song that had impacted me greatly. It was ‘Let Her Go by Passenger’. The song describes how one realizes the importance of the things/people around when one loses them. The premise of this book is similar. This poetry collection highlights the importance of loving self and accepting that one is the best version of oneself. The poems also describe how the human mind works: always eager to jump the gun and reach the conclusion without giving a second thought. Using personal experiences, the poet presents a wonderful collection that is not only enjoyable but also relatable.Covering varied themes and diverse topics like relationships, co-existence, innate fears and apprehensions and the ways of the world, this anthology of poems makes you introspect and think about the situations in a new light. Often I found myself smiling because my perspective matched with that of the poet. The second part of the book comprises the shorts i.e. short poems that use a minimum number of words to express the most. Some of my favourites include Catastrophe, Usual, Rainbow and Enshrined. The words are simple and the free verse adds to the candour of the poet’s thoughts. To add to the pleasure, the poet has added a picture after every poem and that definitely helps the readers associate well with the words.Overall, Somewhere, I Talk to the Moon is a soothing collection of retrospective poems that urge the reader to peep within the mind of the poet and try to find a common ground.

One time read.
Somewhere I Talk to the Moon by Samiksha Rungta is a collection of poems having various themes of solitude, that emptiness we all feel sometimes, isolation and a lot of other humane emotions that we've all felt at some point in our lives. The thing with anthologies is that not everything necessarily pleases you. There are some hits and some misses especially when it comes to free verses. This book is no different. There were a few poems that I really liked but some lacked the kind of symbolism that I like to find in poetry. The cover is beautiful with the illustration of a girl with her dog staring at the moon. It's such a tender moment to be illustrated and something that I immediately loved when I saw it for the first time. I liked the other illustrations that are included in the book as well."…I look at the photographs that fed me an additive, which made me forget how ny life is falling apart, at the very moment…"— Plenteous? These are some of my favourite lines because often nostalgia has made me forget about my problems as well even if the emotion is always fleeting, the comfort it brings always manages to calm me down. So, I really liked it when i finally got words that describe my feeling about that experience. Overall, it was a nice experience but i don't see myself seeking these poems again as I do with other poetry books. I'd recommend it to people who want to read poetry but don't know where to start.
