good little right-pawed cat
I had been looking for a ceramic maneki neko with the right paw up specifically, because I wanted one for my home. Most of the ones I found have the left paw up, for business. This is a great classic maneki neko with the collar with bell, bib, coin, and the classic calico pattern. It's a little pricey for the size, but given the fact that it is not plastic and kind of looks like it might have been hand painted, I'm not too upset about it.

Looks great! Very happy!
I’ve been looking for a right handed lucky neko ststue;and am very happy to get this. It’s smaller than my left handed one, but looks the same. Great craftsmanship.

It arrived intact on time
Love this beautifully hand crafted Japanese maneki-neko! Fed her immediately. Dropping in the first coin scared me when it hit the bottom. I was afraid it might break. I decided to put in a $1 bill to soften the coin drop but had to fold it to fit the slot. Of course it got stuck! Lol! So naturally I had to try pushing it in with another coin. This kitty is hungry!! I see now how the money luck works with this creature. ;-)

Great product, but fragile and easily broken in shipping
5 stars for the cat. 1 star for Amazon shipping. The first arrived shattered. I returned it and got another which arrived safely, but I took that package directly from the delivery guy rather than letting him drop it on the doorstep. There needs to be more insulation for a product like this. That said, the paint quality is very good and it looks fantastic.

Adorable and Well Made
I thought this is a Japanese cat so I decided to buy one that is made in Japan. Very well made and I like to see the cat eyes are open, many others are closed and smiling, but I like to see the big eyes, but not scary looking. :) Very happy to see the details on this little thing and it is really pretty. I put it at the corner on my kitchen countertop, so everyday when I make food or wash dishes, I can see this pretty porcelain cat. I am sure to adore it for many years to come.

Tokoname's Maneki Neko Needs Better Painted Whiskers
The two Maneki Nekos in the attached photo are both made by Tokoname. The one on the left was purchased recently by seller akura-blossom-jp. S&H, packaging, manufacturer's box and overall workmanship was almost excellent and identical to the one on the right which I purchased many years ago. The down-side was the whiskers on the new Maneki Neko were hardly noticeable and did not match the photo in the listing. This may come across as nit-picking but artist's attention to detail is critical in the overall success of any art work. Maneki Neko on the right of my photo looks complete with good balance of color. The one on the left looks like the artist forgot to paint the whiskers. I was disappointed and had to return the right handed Maneki Neko. Having said that, I will argue Tokoname manufactures the best looking beckoning cats. The eyes and the expression is spot on, making the owner feel, "yes ... this cat will bring me good fortune" but sorry a cat without whiskers doesn't work.

Good luck !
So far this has been working well. Gifted to my kid for college and so far her roommates have been way better than last year, the air conditioner has been working well, and the cockroach that found its way into her room magically flipped over and she was able to catch it easily. Talk about good luck. Maybe this Maneki Neko is supposed to bring wealth but in her case it has just been a good luck charm!
