A good barrier type cream which helps to prevent skin rashes ...
This review is for a tube of Monkey SOS Baby Balm.INGREDIENTS INCLUDE ...** Sunflower seed oil** Cera alba (beeswax)** Azadirachta indica leaf oil (neem oil)** Lavender flower oil** Evening primrose oil** Anthemis (Chamomile)SIZE1 x 100 ml tubeIMPORTANT / WORTH NOTING** Vegan friendly** Cruelty free** Manufactured in the UKIN USEMy granddaughter who is a one year old is teething really badly and her dribble seems to be very acidic to her skin and is especially problematic in the folds of her neck and her chest area.My son and daughter in law has tried many different creams including prescribed creams from the doctors to no avail. I thought it might be worth giving this SOS cream a try.We found that if the rash had already started, this cream didn't really make much of a difference compared to the other creams and balms that we've tried. However used as a preventative barrier cream, this is when it really does come into its own. It's absolutely brilliant and my daughter in law has been using it twice daily for about a two weeks and there is no sore skin in sight.I LIKE** This is an excellent soothing balm for a baby's sensitive skin.** Natural and organic** It has a lovely chamomile and apricot scent which is not too overpowering.** Works really well on eczema prone skin.** Very nourishing.** Chamomile is known to be anti inflammatory which can help to calm your baby's skin.** This balm is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested.** Works a bit like a barrier creamI DON'T LIKE** It's very expensive for such a small tube. My daughter in law gets through one tube every two weeks and it's quite costly purchasing two tubes a month.PRICE£16.60 per tube (price correct at the time of this review).Thank you for reading and I hope you have found my review helpful

Great For Lips And Dry Skin
This 100ml tube of SOS baby balm is designed for soothing all areas of baby’s skin so I was reassured that it would be gentle and mild on my own skin. The contents of the tube cannot really be described as a balm though as I have to use the tube upside down and gently expel a little of the liquid at a time so that it does not go everywhere! I have been using this oil on my lips and nails as a moisturiser and I have to say that it works really well for these purposes. I have had no reactions at all to using this balm and have also used it on my knees, elbows and heels which are all very dry. The balm sinks into the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. As this tube is quite large and you only need to use a little at a time this product is going to last me quite some time which I am delighted about. The balm has a gentle aroma which is not overpowering.

Works well enough but it’s expensive.
Matchstick Monkey SOS Baby Balm is a brand I’ve previously never come across before. It offers all-natural and organic ingredients that many other similar products offer. The balm is rich and easily absorbed and it has cooled and helped with my baby’s sensitive skin. But, a lot of products offer the same experience and results at a much lower price. What I generally find with these types of cream or balms is that they will all work the same way until your baby’s skin gets used it to and the active ingredients no longer as effective. You then move onto another brand and vice versa.A good balm that is expensive but if it works then it’s good.

Good balm, although no zinc oxide in it and very expensive
This balm is very attractive from an ingredient point of view. They are all natural, the only one that, from the sound of it doesn't look natural is the alcohol but, as you can see from the description it says "made using organic ingredients". I went to look if alcohol could be extrapolated from natural ingredients, in fact, as reported on a website "The alcohol is produced from organically grown grains, grapes, or other products and are free of synthetic fertilizers, hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, GMO's as well as herbicides. "There is no zinc oxide. I must say that this ingredient is what I usually look for if I have to buy a nappy cream for my child, but I do not apply it to the body because it is very thick and difficult to apply on larger areas. This, on the other hand, is easy to spread but more liquid and yellowish in color. It absorbs more or less quickly, it takes a little longer than the zinc oxide cream. The price? Ridiculous. This balm is really expensive. Especially if applied to the body, it finishes earlier, consequently, it is not very affordable to have to buy it more often, unless those who buy it have specific requests (such as a person who is particularly allergic or intolerant to an ingredient and consequently needs an entirely natural product ). For the previous reason, my children and I have no specific needs, I would not buy it because it is really high in price although I find it a good balm.

Very nice
I used it twice so far. Once my little one (1 year old) started to get red patches on his face, not sure why, but think because of the vit C drops in his food. As his skin is very sensitive and he got messy spreading the food on his face. I put some aloe vera and this cream and in around 30 mins his skin started to get better. The other time was when he was playing in the garden with his brother and both touched some plant then their skin on legs and tights got reddish, put the cream and redness was gone in 20 min.
