Apex, 8695-50, Commercial All Rubber Hot and Cold Water Hose, 5/8-Inch by 50-Feet

so there's two things I should know other people's reviews and nothing that can be considered my first-hand experience with Apex hoses, but I am familiar with this company and they been making products for a long time, I'm told that some of their hose connectors are garbage I'm hoping that's not the case, but I'm a person who's got a serious reputation in a certain world and I know that if I had an issue and they wouldn't respond to me then I know that this isn't a good product based on my professional line of work or customer service is amazingly huge to have. So I hope that aside from some of the concerning remarks I saw about thin or no presence of brass and that their connectors contribute to corrosiveness, I'm hoping that I get years of reasonable good use out of this hose, I can say from first-hand experience the first reason I bought this was because of the high temperature capability to blow out my hot water heater every so often as most people should do per their manufacturer's recommended procedures, but then I needed a hose outside and said hey I do actually have a hot water feed so if I use it on that external connector I have a hose that can do both hot or cold water. So it met the requirements and the color is cool and insofar as the king king and stuff like that maybe because I've lived in a condo until moving to this house that I don't know but it has not lost its shape it unkinked easily and seems to be durable I'll be at a little bit heavy but of course durable should mean that I guess right? so so far one month of review this item is good if I edit this then you know something hit the fan and I didn't get the reasonable life out of this product.

I like it because it takes the heat from hot water and doesn’t crack when outside

I was so fed up with the cheaply made garden hoses from the big box stores. This hose appears to be well made and durable. I'm anxious to see if it continues to be impress me after a year of use.

Good quality hose but it does kink up..

I like rubber hoses and I really like this this hose - it is flexible, it is easy to maneuver around in the garden, and it is easy to handle when rolling it up - plus, for a rubber hose the price was right.I have lost count on the number of non-rubber hoses that that I have replaced in the past couple of years. I have had them burst and/or leak on me after what I consider to be an unreasonably short amount of time. I have tossed because they were so stiff that I could hardly straighten them, or that they were really heavy, or that I had difficulty rolling them up on my hose reel.However I have never had a rubber hose with any of those problems. The rubber hoses are not stiff, they are not overly heavy, and they are easy to coil on the ground or wrap on a hose reel.If my rubber hoses get a kink in them I just give them a slight twist and they work fine. I have 3 black rubber garden hoses. One of the rubber hoses that I use I have left under pressure (70 p.s.i.) 24/7 for maybe 7 years, in freezing cold and in 114 degree heat, and have never had a problem with it. That is not to say that this red rubber hose will perform the same way but I am betting that it will.Having said all of this:1. Can you live with a red hose in your green garden? I can because I like all of it's positive attributes.2. If you use a black rubber hose, over time it can leave black marks on your walkway or even your hands. Only time will tell if I end up with red marks on my walkway or hands. LOL

These hoses used to be really easy to find but now it seems like all the box stores carry the round design of commercial garden hoses. The round hoses are garbage. They collapse under suction and kink really easily. The ridged design makes the hose stand up to suction pressure and helps prevent kinks.

Good hose. I bought a cheaper one and immediately had to send out back. This one works great.

We live in Florida where hoses degrade quickly from the sun and heat. So far (about 6 months) this has held up perfectly. The heavy rubber is not light for carrying, but is ideal for durability. The hardware is mediocre; I do not think the hose connections are brass despite the appearance; my brass nozzle corroded badly and stuck to the hose. Maybe that was the fault of the nozzle. I would suggest NOT leaving the nozzle attached. In summary, a great hose, mediocre hardware.

Perfect flexible hose, use it to add water to the hot tub in the winter, and stats flexible. would recommend this product.
