Brain Damage

Her best
I have read just about all of Ms McFadden’s books & every one is riveting and I can’t put them down. However this one is the first where I really feel I got to know her a little. The story is terrific as always, but the characters are so vivid & likable (except for the bad ones). I found myself tearing up at times, when I wasn’t laughing or tensely waiting for the next shoe to drop. Bravo to Ms McFadden for writing a truly heartfelt, memorable book. I loved it!

Somewhat predictable
Single girl involved in career meets handsome man who she thinks is her Prince Charming. Maybe my life experiences led me to question Charming’s authenticity. Maybe my prior reading of McFadden novels prepared me for twists and turns. It just all seemed predictable. The main character, Charlotte, tells the entire story from her perspective. It was fascinating being in her head and experiencing her thoughts and reactions as she works to get her health and life back. Because she was so relatable and well developed, the book was difficult to put down. I was more interested in Charlotte’s recovery than in who the bad guy was! This book didn’t keep my guessing; it was an enjoyably quick read though that was tough to put down!

Great book!
I read a lot, and this is the first book I’ve ever read where the narrator is suffering from brain damage. What an interesting book! And funny and heartwarming, and shocking. A real page turner! I would highly recommend this book!

It’s Okay.
Not bad. Not great. Freida definitely has some other books that are much better. However, it was a fairly quick read. A good break book if you are into series.

Brain Damage
I recommend this book to all who enjoy a riveting suspenseful story with a bit of romance and some darkness. It has some good twists and surprises. Overall, a well written tale that's definitely worth the time to read.

very well written!
Freida does an excellent job of writing this book from the point of view from some one who has under gone a TBI & is trying to make sense of their life through the recovery process; physically, mentally and especially emotionally. She keeps you guessing throughout the book as she always does trying to finger out “who did it”??? Another great one!!

This was a really good book, different from the other books of hers that I have read, I really enjoyed the romance component

Maybe
This may be my favorite book yet. Not only a very good book to read but a very good insight into what medically Charlotte endured in her recovery from a serious brain injury. I highly recommend Brain Damage.

the best from Frieda
Frieda’s books are all great, but this one is different. It is profound, imaginative and make us think about things we never thought before.

Freida Mcfadden I love you!
I've recently finished a book that took all my efforts to finish, I felt like I was losing my enjoyment of reading... I finished the book and thought I need to read a book that I will enjoy, that will get me back into reading.... obviously I chose a freida book as I've never not enjoyed one. But this book! Wow! Wow! Wow! I LOVED it, read it in a day. I laughed, I filled up, I was angry. I feel this book is different from freidas usually writing styles, there were relationships in this book and the main character didn't question everything. I really really enjoyed it

great
When you start a Freda McFadden novel you are captivated so it is difficult to put it down and it is read in no time; this one is particularly interesting because it talks about brain damage and it is very instructive. I recommend
