The Christmas Pig

I bought this last year for my 12yr old to read during December. He loved it and still talks about it. Encouraging little sister to read it this year. Only problem is trying to find him something just as good this year. Highly Recommend!!!

Book arrived in gently used condition! Loved the story line! Was a cute quick read - perfect for Christmas time!

The Christmas Pig is about Jack who loses his childhood toy and best friend, Dur Pig. Jack's new toy, the Christmas Pig go on a magical journey to find Dur Pig.For a children's book, the story started with a broken marriage and Jack's mother marrying a divorced man with a mean daughter. Not sure if any kid should read this, but towards the middle of the story it gets better and more appropriate for a child. This is a fun and a very heartwarming read 🥰

I bought this for my kids for Christmas last year and they just broke it out tonight to read it a second time. My oldest daughter (12) said it's a great book and she highly recommends it.

Awesome book and I’m really excited to read it with my nephew in December, but you would think a business that started by reselling books and shipping them would know how to ship a book without so much damage to the jacket. This is the second brand new book in a row that has been delivered with significant tearing on the jacket cover. Guess I’ll go back to book store shopping.

Birthday gift for granddaughter. She loved it. I also read it. Very cute.

My daughter and I love this book. I have it on audible and we listen to the story while following along with the book. It has become our new Christmas tradition to start reading this at the beginning of December reading a chapter before bed every night.

Item was exactly as described. I received it super fast with no issues.

In the first few chapters of this book the main character’s parents are divorced and the boy goes back and forth. He has to change schools. A girl befriends him……and HER parents split up too. Don’t give this book to any impressionable youngster. Despite later resolutions to problems I think it needs older readers rather than young ones.

The media could not be loaded.  We were lucky enough to go to the Family event at Alexandra Palace last night, with JK Rowling and Jim Fields (illustrator) talking about the book. I finished the book last night.I couldn't put it down and enjoyed finding out how Jo got the inspiration for the book. Will be buying more copies as xmas presentsIn short, its about the bond a child can have with a soft toy and also… something about how “the chosen one” isn’t necessarily the hero (she’d already written 7 books about that after all)Jo is fantastic at creating other worlds and the story just flows

My 9 year old son hasn't been able to put this down, we caught him reading by torchlight, reading before school, reading whilst eating etc. He's loved everything JKR has written for children - and this is, in his opinion, the best book he's ever read. Thank you JKR for sharing your gift in a way that draws children into reading, you really are a truly inspirational woman who is flying the flag for other female authors.

Bought for my Grandsons, thought I'd better flip through to check if suitable and read from cover to cover. Just couldn't put it down. It pulls you along gripped to the end.

All reviews state wonderful illustrations. My 22 month old dachshund could do better illustrations.Very disappointing.
