This device was acquired as an upgrade from a 4G MiFi device. The previous MiFi unit struggled to manage the increased network load and frequent recharging requirements during peak usage periods, such as holidays, when more users and devices were connected. The Cudy router has performed exceptionally well in this regard. As I operate strictly within a data plan, meticulous monitoring is essential. The accompanying application proved to be highly beneficial and user-friendly, offering robust control over network connections. Features such as parental controls, data limits, and various other options have significantly aided in managing usage. I have also implemented data-saving modes for applications like YouTube and disabled background data to optimize consumption. During the initial setup, I encountered some challenges. However, after consulting a YouTube resource, a user suggested pressing the WPS button on the device's rear, which resolved the issue. I successfully replicated this solution, and it effectively established the connection. Therefore, if you experience connectivity problems, I recommend attempting this method. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this purchase and endorse its capabilities.

Very easy to setup and works very well using a SIM card from visible wireless for wifi. Great range as well, maybe 150ft

works even better than imagined.... put tmobile card in it, and we were up and running.. we use this at an off grid location, we have solar and 4 120 amp hour batteries and this unit and a blink sync module barely use any power at all.. could not be happier..

were having constant comcast issues, so got this as a failover back up, as my wife and I work from home, not using as a regular connection for the whole house but mainly for work computers. as this is a back up, and $90 it was a good deal. We have this connected so the lan switch on the cudy is enabled, and the cudy is connected to our modem via Ethernet cable. when the main Internet fails it switches over to the google fi sim card. THE SETUP Im using a Google fi data sim, that they will send you for free. set up was easy, and i just activated the sim card and stuck it in, worked right away, no hassle. interface and settings are well layed out(but have no clue on what they all do). have some issues accessing the advanced features at times, a bit clunky. instructions on how to turning on the lan switch are on the cudy website. THE NOT SO GOOD, but not deal breakers. as this is a back up, we dont need much speed, but if you are using this for the whole house or as the main Internet, be aware. 1. when cudy is connected to our main router(wired connection), we get a little less than 1/3 the main router speed, i. e main is 250mps, on cudy is about 80 mps, when using a wired connection to the cudy 2. 5g speed (wired connection to the cudy from main router) between main and cudy, also about less than 1/3, i e 250 mps on 5g on main router, about 80 mps on cudy 3. (on sim card) , about 30-40 mps either wired to cudy or on the 5g, not sure if this is because of the fi sim, or that it is only a 4g device SUMMARY This is fine for what we need, but may not be great if you are using it as the main connection, a 5g device may be better

Out of the box, network performance was a non-starter; Up/Down/Latency= 0.5 Mbs, 2-4Mbs, 70 ms I also tested the LTE network performance via tethering to iPhone: 23 Mbs, 8.38 Mbs, 83 ns After upgrading the firmware - easy to accomplish Network performance; Up/Down/Latency = 18-22Mbps, 6Mbps, 8ms I also tested a couple streaming services on my smart TVs, and wasn't happy with that performance. There's just not enough bandwidth available for a reliable and enjoyable experience. To sum it up, I recommend this router for anyone with moderate internet needs and/or backup solution. And if you can live with network delays, there's a decent ROI for this product. Update: After testing several router locations in my house, I was able to consistently achieve Up/Down bandwidth over 30Mbs! That’s very reasonable performance and capable of supporting my smart TV streaming. I highly recommend the price/performance of this router.

Paramètrage simple, fonctionne parfaitement

La preparación y envío fue muy buena. Llevo unos meses con él, en una zona de poca cobertura y me funciona correctamente con tarjeta SIM Digi España. Como es una segunda residencia y la alarma depende de la buena conexión, le he puesto un UPS (batería) por si se queda sin alimentación eléctrica ( la alarma tiene la suya propia). Se la he recomendado a un familiar que, por su trabajo, necesita estar siempre conectado a internet en horario comercial ( el servicio de fibra le había fallado varias veces, teniendo contratada con 2 compañías distintas). Desde que se lo puso, ya no ha tenido que decir a ningún cliente que no lo podía atender por falta de conexión, así que también está muy contento, obviamente cuando pierde la conexión de fibra y enciende este router no es la misma velocidad de conexión, pero para casos de emergencia le va muy bien.

Modem acquistato per lancasa in campagna, dove la rete si prende con molta difficoltà e la saponetta classica non offre né stabilità di connessione né autonomia sufficiente per non essere sempre collegata alla rete. Devo dire che funziona molto bene, la connessione è stabile ed anche la ricezione del 4g grazie alle antenne è buona. Inserita una sim ho. mobile senza necessità fi configurazione, una volta attaccata la spina in circa 30 secondi era già perfettamente funzionante senza modificare od impostare apn. Considerate sempre che se non c'è campo non può fare miracoli e connettersi ad una rete che non c'è. Per quanto riguarda l'utilizzo come modem o router per linea fissa non posso dire nulla perché l'ho acquistato solo ed esclusivamente per la linea 4g. Avesse avuto anche il 5g sarebbe stato da 6 stelle. Ottima anche la gestione web molto semplice e ben suddivisa in varie sezioni facilmente accessibili e visivamente ordinate.
