Wireless PIR Sensor, Pet Immune

I bought this as suggested by Amazon when I got the camera hikam a7, I paired them and installed the sensor in front porch, I can get alerts on my phone's app when there's someone at the door, working great so far and does what I wanted

First of all this is a must for anybody that is buying the Hikam camera. The motion alarms natively built into the camera will leave you frustrated. All in all I really like the optional pir but if I could suggest on thing to the German engineers I'd like to suggest an outside slider to turn the device from test mode (used for calibrating your field of vision) and normal mode that appears to just shut off the led after you are done calibrating. I get the device all calibrated on the wall and then have to take the thing apart just to move to jumper on the circuit board. Seems a little like cutting a corner which surprised me when I heard it wad German engineered. Other than that I wish they would come out with an outdoor waterproof version as well.

I gave three stars because this could not work on the south side of my house, although I put it under a shape. Somehow it still misreports action, almost every second. The one on the north of my house works well!

Item is malfunctioning. It keeps turning on and off by itself after 3 weeks.

I had high hopes of fixing the HiKam A7 motion sensitivity flaw with this add in product. However, the PIR sensor gets non stop false alarms all day as well. Now I have two HiKam products that don't work as advertised.Customer support suggested rearranging the pins inside the sensor to set it to "normal" mode instead of the full mode it comes set to by default. This made the sensor completely numb. I could walk right up to it and it wouldn't detect me.The camera is an outdoor, waterproof product. The sensor is not, in fact, they recommend avoiding direct sunlight, metal objects, etc.The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one, is it was easily paired with the camera.

Very nice product.

Gets rid of the tons of motion detection false positives (due to cars passing by) ... Still getting some extra false positives, but I believe they are due to position of the sensor and the environment.
