Ephesians: A 12-Week Study (Knowing the Bible)

Excellent!
This is the best bible study I believe I have undertaken. Our bible group was hoping to find a study with more probing questions. We were not disappointed. At every lesson, there are insights I had not seen before in Scripture. His questions point you to truths revealed in Scripture that one may overlook on a cursory reading. Many of the answers may be deduced in the questions themselves or in the theology section after the questions or from Scripture itself. Going through the personal implications is a worthy exercise. I wish this author would write more studies. I just ran a search and this study appears to be the only one. Please, consider writing more!

Helpful Resource on Ephesians
I love this series, and this book was a helpful starting point as I began to preach through Ephesians. I am thankful for the hard work of the authors to ask good questions and draw out the most important points as it walks you through the book. This series is great for small group studies, too.

Difficult to use
While our Bible study group has used the Knowing the Bible series previously and had no difficulty, this book is difficult to use. The author seems to write the questions is a round about way. The wording of the questions make it arduous to understand what the question really is. I spend so much time asking myself, "what is he really asking ?". It is really frustrating. We will probably continue to use the series, but I will not purchase a book from this author again.Update: Our Bible study group has taken to just using the Gospel Glimpse section. We are getting more from this section.

Disappointing
Overall, I love the Knowing the Bible books, but this one missed the mark.As others have noted the questions are confusing and oddly worded. Some seem written simply to play “gotcha.” If you aren’t a longtime believer with a strong grasp of Biblical doctrine/history many of the questions would be hard to answer. What I disliked most is all of this took me out of really thinking about the text and themes and instead trying to answer vague questions that seems less about the text and more about the authors agenda. This is not true for other books in this series (loved their one on Genesis), but this one was disappointing.

Just starting the study but I love how it makes you dig in and learn God's plan for his future bride (the church).
