I've used this as a detangler on long Pomeranian fur with matts. It gets the matts out and would work fantastic if it wasn't for the strong scent. My puppy loses his mind and gags and can't stay still during grooming. He's very dramatic and rolls on blankets or fabric desperate to get the smell off. If there was an unscented option that would be ideal!

Not sure how anyone can give this a bad review based on its ability to detangle. I imagine it wouldn’t work on a terribly matted dog, but that’s not the product’s fault! Makes grooming day so much easier. Only suggestion don’t use too much on dry hair due to strong smell but perfect for after shampoo and it has a nice scent.
