Farmina Natural & Delicious Grain Free Fish and Orange Adult Cat, 11 lb Bag

This is really great food. I have five cats and always fed them Orijen but about a year ago Orijen changed their formula. It made a couple of my cats really sick and none of them would eat it anymore. So I was on the hunt for a new food that they would all like and would be good for them. After trying at least a dozen different brands I found this Farmina Chicken. 4 out of the 5 cats love this flavor and the other one loves the Wild Herring. I've also tried the Wild Boar and the Lamb flavors, The Lamb being the least popular of all of them. This seems to be an easy food for them to eat too, because they are small round pallets that have a little moisture to them. They're not as hard and crunchy as a lot of other brands. Plus it's made from quality grain free ingredients. I highly recommend giving this food to try especially if you have picky eaters or cats with allergies.

You have no idea how great it was finding this in larger bag. I was buying the smaller bags on Chewy but with 9 cats that love this product this larger bag makes my life easier

I use to buy this product at a local small business. Unfortunately the state had some type of licensing problem with the pet food company and the food can no longer be sold in my state. Now I have to purchase the food online and it is more expensive that way. I do not know what the difference is but the food I get online is different than what I would purchase in store. The bags I get online have more crumbled pieces and have a different color compared to buying in store. My cats also do not seem to eat as much when we purchase the food online. I really have no other option other than buying online unless I want to drive an hour to another state where I can buy the food at a store. I have tried other foods but my cats will not eat any other food so I am stuck buying online.

I have ordered this product many times in the past and have never had any issues. This time, however, was different. The kibble in the package looks like scraps swept up from the warehouse floor. The pieces are all broken and look like something that has been stepped on and then swept into the bag. I will not be ordering this food again.

We adopted a 2 year old cat 5 months ago that was very picky with food. We found Farmina food and she loves it as well as our other two cats. One of our older cats gained weight with this food and we just found out she is diabetic. I found out this food is 15.7 percent carbs. I think that’s pretty high and I’m wondering if it had something to do with her becoming diabetic. I have switched to another food that is a carb percentage of 4.7. All the cats love it. Just be aware if you have older cats this is a pretty high carb dry food. Hopefully using wet and the other food she can go into remission. Not sure if I can mention the other food on this review but it’s Dr Elsey’s grain free high protein. I got it on Chewy.
