These darling black Scotties taste like "true" black licorice and are soft enough to chew with ease.
Delicious! I just finished eating my last order of the Jelly Belly Scottie Dog black licorice! This was my 2nd order in two months! My special friend loves Jelly Belly candies. His parents had a tradition of sending him Jelly Belly candies for his birthday. Sadly, they both passed away last year. His birthday was in February & I wanted to make it extra special for him. I was looking through the long list of Jelly Belly candies & hPpened upon these darling little dogs! We love dogs & licorice, & because they were made by Jelly Belly, a company I trusted, I went ahead and added a couple bags to my order. I received them in one day! There are 3 bags of the candies which comprise 1 item. I wrapped them up & gave him his birthday gift. I couldn't wait to see his reaction when he saw the Jelly Belly Scottie Dogs. He burst out laughing, & I laughed, too! He had nevdr seen them before. These were a MUCH better gift than Jelly Belly jelly beans (I got him those, too)! We each tried one. We both thought they tasted great! To me, they had a richer black licorice taste than a brand at the market. Also, I have a broken tooth & was thrilled to find that they were soft enough for me to chew without pain! I do warn you, though - they are the extremely addictive! lol I was glad the items are in packs of 3 because we went through them in 1 day! They were well worth the price so I placed the 2nd order for us! Yum! I will be buying more of these Dogs in the near future!

Great tasting licorice. However, I don’t think I’ll buy any more as you hiked the price from $9.95 up to $14.99!! That’s outrageous!

Terrible
Have given a review on these in the past . They have always come super fresh and my mom loved them .This time they felt hard instead of soft .When my mom opened the package they were not editable at all .I tried to do a return for replacement , not available .No contact i fo available.Just dissapointed .

Flavor is good (true black licorice flavor, though not intense) but texture is wrong...
OK, they're cute. And they taste pretty good if you're a fan of true black licorice. HOWEVER, they do NOT have what I'd consider a 'normal' licorice texture: these are much more like firm gummy candies texture-wise, not as yielding or toothsome as most black licorice I've had. ALSO, these REALLY STICK in your teeth for a while.They were OK, but I wound up giving the extras away, and will try something else next time I'm jonesing for black licorice. I'd say a grade C valuewise, due mainly to the texture issue.
