Very cost effective but…here’s a recipe
I’ve tried many plant based protein powders because I don’t want the hormones that come from whey or other sources. Man does this have a huge amount of protein in one small serving for not so many calories. That is impressive BUT it’s may not be for everyone. Most people I know would not like the taste of this, it does taste weird but I don’t mind it. I have a sensitivity to taste and I don’t like drinking sweet things. So i actually don’t mind that it taste “awful” as some people describe it. The closest I can come to describing the taste is like maybe it taste like flavorless oatmeal? Like chunky flavorless unseasoned oatmeal, which I love. I also buy this because it’s incredibly cheap and you get 7lbs. I’m also very lazy in eating so it helps keep me full when I have crazy days. I am also not keen on buying fast food so eating is kinda hard. This does help me a lot as I have a lot of food sensitivity. So if you’re like me, then I recommend. If you’re too sensitive and won’t sacrifice taste for convenience then don’t get it. I am just a lazy person, which is why this is perfect for me. I usually can drink it by itself, but this is the best “flavorless” pea protein out there. I have tried others and this is the best one in terms of not tasting the chalky pea flavor if you know what I mean. The organ organic one that is unsweetened flavorless pea protein is the best tasting one but it’s so expensive I’d rather have this. The orgain one taste like dirt, earthy, flavorless powder (and maybe I like it because I’m iron deficient and have pica 😭😭) but this one is better in terms of mixing. Here is a recipe to help you get the best shake ever (not kidding) or drink it plain. So I recently went to Boise juice co and loved their tropical smoothie, but can’t stand the fact that I don’t know the exact calorie and protein content. I tried to recreate my own with pea protein (ughh I know, you’re rolling your eyes. If you can’t accept that it won’t be perfect, you will never enjoy this pea protein). Here is my recreation and if I say so myself, it mask the pea protein flavor so well. I can’t really taste it. Ingredients- -Greek yogurt 1/2 of the serving size on container. -light apple juice (1/2 cup) -water - 1/3 of a banana - 4-6 regular sized strawberries frozen or not -pineapple chunks (I’m lazy so I buy frozen- sorry not sorry) -couple of blackberries or blueberries (I buy frozen ones- please don’t have a heart attack) - 1 scoop of carlye’s peat protein powder -some water as desired to blend VOILA. There you have it; a nice tropical yummie creamy smoothie with lots of protein from both the powder and Greek yogurt! You’re welcome.

Awesome Value, Tastes Terrible
I'm gonna give this 5 stars, but to be completely clear - the unflavored version doesn't exactly dance on your taste buds. It's got an earthy, nutty pea protein taste that even the sweetest of sweeteners can't fully disguise. Not my favorite, might I say. But let's talk about why I'm still a fan. This stuff is no joke when it comes to packing in the protein. We're talking 29 grams per scoop, which has been a big help for me in adding some extra protein into my diet post-workout. I've been keen on trying alternatives to whey protein, and this has done the job nicely. Quality-wise, I'm impressed. It feels like good stuff, and for the price? It's a steal. You just aren't gonna find a better bang for your buck if you're looking for a protein supplement. In the future, I'm thinking of mixing this with some whey protein powder to take the edge off the flavor. But all in all, if you can handle a bit of a strong taste, this pea protein powder is a top-notch pick for quality and value.

Great Deal, Decent Taste
You get a lot of bang for your buck when you consider that one serving is 29 grams of protein. A lot of powders have less protein per serving. I love that it's pure pea protein. Does it taste great? No, but I'd rather be able to add my own sugar and/or smoothie ingredients than to have someone else add artificial sweeteners and other junk into my protein powder. As far as pure pea protein goes, this is one of the better tasting ones. I've been taking this and creatine for about 6 months and I have put on a few pounds of lean mass. 29 grams is a decent amount. It really helps me hit my protein goals without adding too many calories and without getting tired of eating so much food. 7 pounds is a lot and will last quite a while. I'm going to buy more when I finish this jar.

Healthy protein source.
It's a bit too sweet for our tastes. The quality and packaging are excellent.

Good plant based protein
I like this pea protein as a good plant based source. I use it smoothies and a superfood oatmeal bowl. I like that it has no flavoring or added ingredients. It seems to be a good value based on comparison. Mixes fairly easily compared to other protein powders I have used. I plan to continue using it.

dont get this
wow it doesn't mix well with water or milk dont listen to what others reviews say you can still taste the chalky powder in every bite/drink of whatever you mix it in it has a crazy amount of salt per scoop it just tastes so bad and so chalky i would not recommend this it is a shame now i have 7lbs of the stuff

Delicious, Clean, Affordable Protein!
Im really happy with this product. Note: the 1 scoop serving size listed on the product says it’s 40g but the scoop actually holds ~35-37g even when full. I have to weigh it on kitchen scale for each use.

Good value vegan protein powder but subpar taste and high sodium.
The importance of protein supplements is crucial, even for amateur and recreational athletes. Let's try out this Pea Protein powder by Carlyle. (+) *Being an amateur triathlete, protein powders are essential to supplement a healthy nutrition; gain muscle mass, lose fat. *Possibly the best value; cost per oz. for all protein powders. *Giant 7lb. jug is enough to last a few months for my family. *Dissolves readily with a shaker bottle or blender. *29g of protein per serving/40g scoop. Only 2g of carbs. (-) *By itself, this protein powder is unflavored and unpalatable. We need to mask it with plenty of organic honey, fruits, and vegetables. *Each serving 40g scoop has 520mg of sodium; that's excessive even with heavy sweating. *Powder clumps together unless carefully mixed in shaker bottle or blender. *Not all of my family members can tolerate the taste and texture.
