Does not smell like US variety of Lemon Verbena. Not as sharp and crisp. Still tasty!
When this arrived, I was not too happy with the product. It does not have the stronger Lemon Verbena scent I was expecting. After trying it, I was putting the bag away and realized the name of this Lemon Verbena is not the same as what we grow here in the US.I am not an herbologist but do know something about them. This is Verveine Odorante and what I grew was Aloysia Citradora. They are both Lemon Verbena from the Verveine family, but different species. That being said, this Lemon Verbena is a softer lemon with a sweeter taste, more green than lemon. For a tea, it is quite pleasant. For cooking or use in aromatherapy, it does not work as well. The Aloysia Citradora - like the name says - has a much stronger, crisper, lemon scent and flavor.Seller did a great job getting it to me quickly and packed well for minimal crushing. They also contacted me about a question and were very fast and efficient in response.Recommend them highly!

Wonderful Quality French Verveine/Verbena Leaves
Years ago, I lived in France and, since returning, I have found it difficult to find this quality of verbena/verveine. Almost every purchase I have made of verbena has had crushed, stale, &/or flavorless leaves. This is fresh, whole, French verbena with an amazing lemony verbena flavor. Verbena is a wonderful digestive tisane (tea). The best way to prepare this to be of the most benefit is to steep the leaves in 200ºF/93ºC water for 3 to 5 minutes. If you like verbena tisane, you will not regret this purchase. For the best results, be sure to store the leaves in an airtight container. The container makes all the difference with the staying power of the leaves.

Favorite tea of someone with far too many teas in her collection.
I’ve gone through bag after bag of this stuff. The quality remains consistent between bags and I’ll continue to buy from here.Perhaps a bit sacrilege to some tea snobs, but I’ve even thrown a few leaves into the brew basket along with my coffee grounds and I easily picked up the scent and flavor alongside the coffee. It started as a habit when trying to find a palatable way to use up a bag of coffee I didn’t like so much and I ended up loving this combo.

Musty and unusable
Maybe this was old, anyway it was musty smelling and the tisane made from it was not nice at all. It wasn't returnable, so I threw it away. Since then I've tried the lemon verbena from Greece that was sold by Chiron Kentavros - it was much better.

It's good quality verbena
Please bring it back. It's good quality verbena, with the leaves still whole and green, and it's almost impossible to find in the US. I've drunk "verveine" all my life because I'm French. I know it's also used in Morocco (where it's called something like "Luiza") and in Spain (hierba luisa, which I have seen erroneously translated by "lemongrass"). Its digestive and soothing properties are well known to those who drink it - and it's delicious. The "verveine" which is sold in France is "verbena officinalis". I suspect the one found in Morocco and Spain is "aloysia citrodora". They are both from the Verbenaceae family. The former grows wild in France; the latter comes from South America. I hope it will be back on Amazon soon.

NEED TO RELAX USE VERBENA
I make this tea weekly, in a big pot and then place it in a jug. Throughout the week i drink from it and it just makes me find my mellow joy. I live in constant anxiety so by drinking this tea I live much more peacefully. FYI I do drink this tea cold and with no suger.

Perfect for when you need to get your vervain tea on.
What's not to like? It's a big ol' bag of leaves that you can use to make your vervain tea. I discovered vervain/verveine/verbana while in, surprise, France. We always had it after meals - my friends claim it helps with digestion. It may. I think it calms me down a bit.We use about 3 or 4 leaves per cup (and these are large coffee cups).

I Crave this Delightful & Calming Tea
This whole leaf herbal tea, straight from France, brews up beautifully and makes for a soothing, refreshing, and somehow uplifting tisane. I appreciate it that Lemon Verbena is especially calming for the nervous system as well as digestion. The taste is difficult to describe---it's subtle, fresh, sophisticated & down to earth all at once. The French often drink this after dinner, I love it at bedtime. This is a generous sized bag to help tide me over during the colder months when the garden is dormant. One word of caution: I was overly generous with the amount of leaves in my first pot and the tea brewed bitter.
