Consider adding a bidet filter
I'm now on my second M250. The first I purchase 5 years ago and it worked like a charm. Easy to install and easy to use. But I do have a lot of minerals in my water and the wand clogged. I removed the end, soaked in vinegar and it was ready to go, but the extension was just not extending on its own. I asked Kohler how to clean inside the wand apparatus but they weren't too helpful. I finally ordered my second one ($20/year for bidet is a bargain!) and dissected the old unit. Actually I could never totally dissect as the screws were so rusty and not at all interested about being removed. I shrugged, I tossed the old one in the trash and this time around I'm going to add some filters to soften the water in hopes I can prevent the calcium from building up. Either way... still a great bidet --- my water -- not so much.

A Thankful Annus
I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Installation was surprisingly easy, and using it is even easier: turn the handle, a little perreo, and you’re done. Simple, efficient, and oddly empowering. No more pastel painting on my panties. We’ve officially entered a new era. The water pressure? Fantastic. It’s like the Bellagio fountain putting on a private show for your backside. Precise, powerful, and deeply satisfying. Pure pleasure. Zero regrets. 5 stars from my back start. ⭐️

First time Bidet Users, Read This!!
If you are thinking of buying a bidet for the first time and you are wondering if its worth it, or if its better that whatever your doing now.... The answer is YES, you should buy a bidet. I am saying that as a very new first time owner myself having used this product for about two months. Being my first and only bidet, Its hard to compare this against other bidets. But I will say that my overall experience, the cost, ease of install and how well it works should earn this seat a solid 4 stars. Definitely a good purchase and I'm very happy with the results. I will by more the the rest of my bathrooms. Install: All the parts that come with the bidet are good quality, and the plumbing fasteners are all metal. If you have ever set a toilet or have done any work on a toilet before, then this will be super easy! If you have never worked on a toilet, don't worry, its still pretty easy and you find there are plenty of online videos to walk you through it. Keep in mind not all toilets are installed the same and I suppose there is a chance you might need to hit up a hardware store to get a part. But this was not the case for me. Once installed, It blew my mind how good it looked. At least on my toilet it looks perfect. Seriously it looks like it came with the toilet. Just be careful to get the correct "Round or Elongated" option and color. How does it work?.... I'm never going back!!! I got so sick and tired of wiping and wiping and wiping for mediocre results or just to have an itchy bum later in the day. Goodbye to that forever! I will always have a bidet for the rest of my life. My bum is so happy and healthy!! Q&A: -Does it get you completely clean? Yes it does, but you have to do it right. I learned that you need to move around. Make sure the beam of water hits all the right spots. I also give the back door a few good flexes open and closed while the beam of water is right there. "I'm sorry, that's the nicest way I could word that" -Did you stop using toilet paper? No. I still use TP to dry off and to make sure the bidet got everything completely clean. I do however us soooo much less TP that before. -Is a warm water bidet worth it? No. Cold water is great, not a shock at all. Even if you get a hot water bidet you will still get the initial cold water burst. If you get one that keeps water warm at the seat, then you are wasting money and energy 24 hours a day for about 10 seconds of warm water. Besides that area is always so hot, it could use a cool down from time to time. Here is some helpful T.M.I. I have to say that my first time, I was kind of expecting the stream to shoot across/over the top of my back door at an angle. NOPE, it fires a brisk straight shot into the keyhole!! But after a few uses you will realize that this is better and it was designed that way. just a friendly warning for first timers. This is a great purchase, make your bum happy.

Guaranteed to fail
**Second Update** OK, this Kohler bidet is garbage. First unit leaked and second unit sometimes leaks but recently the plastic that latches it into place broke. Engineered to fail. *UPDATE* In less than one month of using the bidet is leaking. As soon as you rotate the control arm water begins to leak out. I'm going to exchange it for another since I like everything about it, but it looks like this device wasn't engineered well since others are reporting the same thing in other reviews. ------------------------ So, 2 years ago I dipped my toes into the world of bidets purchasing an Alpha Bidet (version 1). It worked quite well for 2 years, but 3 things made me stop using it. 1. The gray rubber "feet" that you see on the Hibbetts model and Alpha model don't hold up. After awhile they start to tear and I ended up taking the feet from the lid and replacing the ones on the seat that tore (they bear the most weight). 2. The color is a bluish/purplish white that didn't quite match our Kohler toilet. 3. The way that it attaches to the toilet started to fail. The spring loaded quick release didn't click into place unless I pulled on it. So after getting rid of this I tried out the Brondell thin attachment. This installed easily and seemed well constructed. I was a bit wary of the thin plastic that the control attached to but underneath it has 2 pieces of metal for reinforcement. The issue with this one is it just doesn't hit the spot. On an elongated toilet I had to really sit back and lean forward which was uncomfortable. I'm not returning it because it was in our toilet and only $20, perhaps it'll see use another day. So, now to this bidet. First off, the color matches our toilet which is great. The rubber feet on the seat and lid seem much more durable than the gray feet on the Alpha bidet. Installation was a lot easier than the Alpha bidet as well, with the hardest part making the connections tight. The Alpha bidet had metal connections whereas this one is plastic. That's a bit of a shame. The seat itself seems much more durable than the Alpha bidet, but there is some squeaking of plastic under my keester. This one aims better than the Brondell attachment, but still doesn't match the sniper like accuracy of the Alpha bidet. However, using the control wand I'm able to strafe the "brown town" like a German Stuka in WW2. So far so good with this bidet, but if it fails miserable or starts leaking I'll be back to change my review.

Great product and high quality. Only problem was that the t-adapter supplied in the box does not fit South African pipe fittings. I had to go to a plumbing supplies shop to buy an adapter before I could install it. Overall well worth the money.

Water supply T joint is not suitable for Australian standards and won’t fit , and it is size between 15mm and 20mm so forget about finding suitable adapter

I was looking add-on bidets but this one being integrated into the seat design made a lot more sense to me. I like that it comes with 3 different nozzles and the arm allows for adjustment of the spray angle while seated. The adapter is chrome plated metal not plastic. The soft close is nice too. I have this installed on a Toto elongated toilet. The fit isn't perfect but it is close enough and looks good in the closed position. The design is clean with nice styling.

The seat is so tiny. It’s sized for a little kid, really uncomfortable and now I’m unsure what to do with this.
