Good tea for the price--on 4th tin!
I really enjoy the small tin this comes in--doesn't take up much space and if you really want you can repurpose it after using all the matcha up. I'm on my 4th tin of this stuff and have consistently enjoyed it. Some folks have mentioned that it kind of clumps up, and that's because of how finely it's ground. The clumps aren't really dense, it seems like it's just a little ball of powder held together by static or something. Touch it with a toothpick and it falls right apart. The tea has a really great taste. I haven't registered as bitter...occasionally if I use extra powder I'd say it has a bit of a grassy taste. But it seems high quality for the price.Since it's real matcha and not an instant mix, you do need to take the time to mix this well. What I've found to work for me is putting a teaspoon or so in a 16oz closable thermal bottle (I use the Tiger MMJ-A048, but there are a lot out there). I add a couple ice cubes, fill it with water, and shake away! After about 10 seconds of good shaking, I have 16oz of perfectly blended cold matcha tea to take with me and sip throughout the morning. Occasionally I'll throw some honey in there if I want to sweeten it up a bit. Don't try this with hot water, if you didn't know that already. If you want hot tea, I'd mix that up outside of the thermal and pour it in once it's all blended.

Matcha Tea
I purchased it after watching a YouTube review and have no complaints. It has great flavor and color, and I’d happily buy it again.

Highly recommend this product!
Update 7-20-2016: You will notice some tiny balls of Matcha in the can. I believe this a testament to the freshness and quality of the product since I have not noticed them in cheaper Matcha's. Theses little balls will not dissolve and go away in the water. You will be chasing them around in your cup with your spoon trying to smash them. You need to use a sifter to break them up before putting in the cup. I recommend the ORBLUE 4 inch fine mesh food strainer (search Amazon for it, $12.00) .Hold strainer over cup, add Matcha and tap strainer on top of cup. What will be left are the small balls of Matcha. Smash them into the strainer with your spoon and continue taping till gone. Read on for my original review.Although I have been drinking green tea for a long period of time, I am new to the world of Matcha as of last week. So I am not an expert when it comes to Matcha green tea, but I am learning as I go. Last week I picked up a regular Matcha green tea, 100 g for $26. Although I found it to be good it was still kind of bitter tasting. Then, I found out there was a ceremonial Matcha. I was reluctant to buy it because of the price, $28 for 30 g, but I decided to give it a try anyway, it was awesome! Then I came across this "Pure Matcha", $21 for 30 g. I'm having a cup right now as I write this review and I find it to be just as good as the $28 for 30 g. I love Matcha! If you're drinking coffee has a pick me up, Ditch the coffee and start drinking the Matcha. It's a little more effort to prepare but it's well well worth it! Google "health benefits of Matcha" and you'll see all the many great things you will get from drinking it.

Great Quality
This Matcha is of great quality, if you have not had Matcha before, or ifyou do not want to spend alot of money on the more expensive brands such asDomatcha, which is one of the best! The difference in Matchas besides the telling prices, will be the viscosity, the texture, the nature of its froth and the color. The color should be a verybright green, and this tea is. This tea, however will not froth very thick afterthe pack has been opened and placed in the refrigerator after about two-weeks.Other very high quality Matchas will keep that capability, due to the inherentquality of the Matcha itself. This tea is smooth, and taste very good. If you can't endure the wait of ordering fromJapan, or the price of other Matchas, you will not be dissapointed with this tea. Youalso need a bamboo whisk; there is no escaping this necessity! The whisk seperates thistea evenly within the water, and makes it blend with blue-berry and Pomegranate Juice, whichis what I mix it with, topped off with a Mt.Dew or a little Sprite. Yummy! I love Matcha;I drink it everyday and hate when I run out. It's good for arthritis, detoxifying the body, giving you energy and inhibiting depression or stress.Enjoy.Author Tamara H.Boman
