Alien Gray is perfect if you want cool gray hair!
I’m 57 and a lot of my hair is gray and white. It was so drab on its own. I decided to bleach it and try a variety of different semi permanent colors and toners on it one at a time. Manic. Panic’s Alien Gray was the first color I chose. It has a purpleish gray base that toned out all the yellow that remained in my hair. I lightened it to a level 10, so there wasn’t a lot of yellow to tone. Alien gray is sort of like the color before I colored my hair but more dramatic and interesting! I also have manic panic blue steel which I intend to try next! I’ve been using manic panic since 1984 and I loved Tish and Snooki. They were like my cool aunts that I could talk to about anything and who would offer advice about men, shoes, make up, and most importantly hair!!!

great product, terrible company
I was excited to use this product as its rumored to be non toxic. This works great on bleached hair so I decided to purchase again. This time I thought I would buy from the actual company instead of Amazon. They had a special promotion- so I bought extra products. When I went to pay the promotion didn’t apply - I tried three times and after wasting so much time I just paid and sent a messageto their customer support- asking to be refunded for the $20 overcharge.3 emails later- still not even a response. If you want this product- purchase from Amazon. Manicpanic.com - worst customer service ever- and they don’t let you write a review to let other people know how lousy they are.

Not so gray lady
Meh, not as dark as the swatch. The color Alien Gray comes out silver, which is fine if you want silver. I was just hoping for actual gray, considering that Gray is literally the name of the color, lol. Ya know? I'm not trying too whine. I'm gone add some turquoise to make baby blue instead of buying the Creamsicle baby blue. Getting creative. God is this one hundred characters yet, oof! No, not yet?! Ahhhhhhhhh, I already said the thing. I did the thing, stop harassing me, Amaron! I put the lotion on my skin already. Just make it stop. Kthxbye

Alien Grey is pretty good
So…I have natural salt and pepper hair. My dark hair is about a level 2. I got the bright idea to have some pieces in the front of my hair bleached out and the goal was to tone to a platinum grey. Unfortunately, my dark hair turns a disgusting orange/yellow color even though I had it professionally done. My friend got it to a level 9, but it was still pale yellow. No matter what we tried, we could not take the yellow out. I hit it with alien grey. It’s not perfect, but the lightest parts are a pretty grey color and the darker yellow turned beige. I am happy that I look more normal. I may try a splash of ultra violet with the alien gray next time to see if that will grey out the darker bleached pieces.

Alien Grey
I used Manic Panic Alien Grey and Artic Fox Sunset Orange. Manic Panic is going to be my new go to for Grey. I almost gave up hope after trying Ion Color Brilliance. I use to buy ICB when I had even longer hair and 3tubes fully coated everything and I had plenty left over to make a depositing conditioner. This time it took 6 tubes and it barely had any effect on the color. $50 wasted and that was on clearance.I bought the 8oz tub of Manic panic Alien Grey and the coverage was amazing. I still have about 4oz left over. 🥰 I also spent less than half of what I spent on ICB. I highly recommend this product!

Worked
My hair was not light enough to use this product as is. I have been searching everywhere and buying different products to try to achieve a gray blue color. I have naturally black hair and lightened it to a 6… which is not light enough for this dye but I tried it anyway and of course it didn’t work.I mixed some Transylvania black semi permanent dye from arctic fox in with the leftover of the alien grey that I had and made a dark grey color and smothered my hair in it. Fortunately it worked out better than I imaged and my hair is finally a dark gray blue that I’ve been seeking!*Also I have no hair experience and dye my hair for fun.

Amazing
I love this Grey. Strong grey for a few weeks and then hair remains amazingly toned once grey fades.
