Great gloves for labour
Great gloves, very durable with good dexterity. I use them as my railroading gloves and in my shop at home working on cars these ones at about 6 months old and still holding up well.

Best mountain biking glove.
Best serious mountain biking gloves. I've wasted TONS of money on marketed "mountain bike gloves" aka overpriced junk. Mechanix Originals paired with Oury lock-on grips, the palm material almost melds into the grip surface for amazing positive connection. DURABLE! The material, stitching, fingers, etc all last me a long time ... sure there may be a bad stitch or lemon once in a great while, tho Mechanix does do a short warranty that is better than most other brands. I can get two years of serious MTB'n these gloves, over 1000 miles a season all on Colorado/west US singletrack, before material worn thin/palm wears thin. As long as I don't crash. Much. Also have the Mechanix Tactical for lift served bike park runs, and Mechanix cold weather windproof gloves for ... cold weather. My wife and I ride together, same hard riding and mileage, and she switched to Mechanix women originals also (and tactical and cold weather) and gets the same value + performance from those. Only thing I wish the Originals had is a snot wipe soft terry cloth on back of the right thumb. Other than that, perfect MTB glove.

Best work gloves out there
There are absolutely the most functional, longest lasting gloves I have ever purchased. I do a lot of work in attics and crawlspaces, so keeping my hands out of the nasty stuff in those places is very important to me. This also has a tendency to wear very hard on gloves. What I like: 4X material is really longer lasting than leather. 4x as long? Maybe, maybe not, but definitely the longest lasting gloves I've found. Every other pair of gloves that is readily available is either super bulky and not usable or only lasts me 1-2 weeks. These last me 1-2 months. Comfort and fit is superb, and the fact that there is a velcro strap on the wrist means they keep dirt out. Doesn't it suck when you're wearing gloves and you still get crud up into the fingers of your gloves, and you're like "Where the heck did that come from?" that doesn't happen with these. What I don't like: The aforementioned velcro strap is not as durable as the material on the palms of the gloves. Sometimes as they are getting old (1-2 months, I wear them every day) the strap stops staying closed and I just use some black electrical tape till the palms wear out.

Good and tough.
Very good, tough material. 4 stars because the ring fingers are too long, they pretty much match up with the middle fingers. Not enough of an issue for me to return them because I only use them to protect my hands during manual labor at work and they’re great for that so far.

Material 4x gloves - great dexterity and strong durablility
I've tried different varities between the original and the 4x material... and the 4X are much better and last way longer for what I do. I use them almost exclusively for hunting upland. Although these aren't insulated or really cold weather gloves by any means, I don't have too much trouble staying warm down into the 20's during late fall. They hold up well busting through the brush, thorns and woods . They do have a little bit of a break in period, but they fit well, breathe and take some serious abuse. I need good feeling and dexterity for getting the safety off and pulling the trigger. I can get several seasons out of these. They'rrrrrre Great!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great gloves, nice leather.

Awesome gloves, but don't last long.
I love the Mechanix 4x material gloves, but there is a major design issue. The seams are not double stitched and they are stitched with what looks to me to be regular old sewing thread, not strong long lasting nylon thread which should be used in all work cloths. I've had several pairs of these, and the same failure happened on every single glove. The 4x material of the fingers just pulls out from the fabric, either the fabric tears, the thread breaks, or the 4x material tears. The part of the glove that is not 4x material is not a strong material, it rips and tears quite easily. I've emailed mechanix and told them if they make a glove completely out of the 4x material and doubled stitched using nylon thread, I'd pay $70 for them. The 4x material is great, my job is very rough on hands and of course gloves, the abrasion resistance of the 4x material is fantastic, lasts longer than leather. The only thing that I have found that beats it up good is when I have to gather cinder blocks, but those will eat up any material, including skin. I've gotten to the point where I stopped buying more and just started trying to repair them, I sew them back together and then use tear mender fabric adhesive, gives them about another week of life. That the other thing, all of the stitching in the gloves should be coated with fabric glue, tear mender is latex so it doesn't get stiff. This would add a lot more strength. The next pair I buy I plan to do this before I even use them. Simply put the gloves are fantastic while they last. 4x material is awesome, gloves are comfy, not to hot not to cold, would be great for yard work or shop work but I work in a plant nursery where my hands are under constant abuse five days a week 8.5 hours a day. So maybe the don't last for me because I just use them up really quick. Though the changes I suggested would really improve the longevity. I've been seeking the perfect work gloves for about 5 years now I've spent a few hundred dollars on gloves by now, and my conclusion is they don't make gloves to last because then they would be out of the glove business. I have so many pairs of gloves that are junk, these gloves are the best I've tried so far, the search continues.

Gran producto.

I bought the cheaper one. It lasted about a month before the stitching let go and the high wear areas started to wear out. This glove lasted me 4 months. Im a truck driver that delivers locally. Doing pretrips, fuelling, opening my trailer doors, topping up fluids, minor repairs and even having the dexterity to fill out paperwork with these on. I would say these are my gloves of choice now. The 4X material really stands up. They're washable without shrinking or becoming hard. They're snug and allow for a firm secure grip. They are not insulated, but provide enough for me. They even have a warranty. My first pair was replaced with these. Customer service was impeccable. They stand behind their product. Ensure you select the right type for the work you do and they will outlast any other. For work or play, these are the best in my opinion.
