DanielSmith Extra Fine Watercolor
I am now using the Daniel Smith Extra Fine watercolors. They are extra creamy. I love this brand. I would love to change out all of my watercolors to DS.

First time trying Daniel Smith, good paint but falls short of excellent
As I want to upgrade to a full set of professional watercolours I have been trying most of the main brands, which includes Daniel Smith of course. After trying this Burnt Umber, I definitely agree with those who claim Daniel Smith’s earth tones are superb. I’m not as big a fan of the tube paint’s consistency and rewetting properties, especially compared to other paints such as Qor, M. Graham, or White Nights. Those paints are soooo creamy and smooth compared to Daniel Smith. I am honestly a little puzzled at the craze around Daniel Smith after using a bunch of dot samples and now this paint tube. Whether fresh from the tube or rewetted (with difficulty), the experience is just more… clunky. I love the colour and workability (after it’s finally wetted) but one tube of Daniel Smith has satisfied my curiosity. I will be building my set with other brands of paint.
