Great toy! Lasted about a month to the exact day of this review. The first thing to go is the loop on the one end. that will get chewed off almost immediately. after that my dog loved it and played all month with it. Last night in one sitting he chewed right through the middle of the braided rope and now has two separate knot balls to play with. Not a problem really. I do like this toy for a couple reasons however, It doesn't leave strings and a mess around when the dog chews through it, and it is still functional as a toy even after the dog has done a fair amount of destruction. My dog (for reference is a medium sized Jack Russell mix.

A good toy but not suitable for small breeds with tiny sharp teeth.
I ordered this for my 5 month old Cairn Terrier mix. Based on the reviews I thought it would be a longer lasting alternative to what was available locally. I gave it 3 stars because he destroyed it almost over night and he hacked up a cotton ball @ 5am this morning. Having said that ...... to be fair if I had bought this for my 8yo Lab mix it probably been fine ...... I failed to take into consideration how much damage my terrier's tiny sharp teeth would do to the cotton wound ropes .. they work on the individual strands, shredding them, where a larger breeds bigger teeth would not.I am disappointed but I feel the failure of the product is actually a function of misapplication and insufficient description. I would recommend removing "Puppy" from the name and adding a note about it not being suitable for voracious chewing by small breeds with tiny sharp teeth.I'm off to the Marina for a few lengths of heavy 3/4" dock line to make up a couple of chews to see how that material will hold up.

Not worth anything unless you just enjoy vacuuming up its remains
If I could give less than 1 star, I would. My puppy did considerable damage to this in about 30 minutes. I returned it the same day it arrived. Not worth anything unless you just enjoy vacuuming up its remains.

Dog likes it.
The dog likes it and plays tug of war. It is a little hard on the hands of the humans who play with the dog.
