An absolute bargain - quality
Excellent quality duvet using the some of the best down available.Ok, so I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to this stuff, so hope you enjoy this.... The “fill power” of down is indicative of the “loft” of the insulation and it’s warmth to weight ratio. This duvet contains 800 fill power down, which rivals the down used in high-end mountaineering jackets and sleeping bags where insulation and weight can be very important. Whilst the weight of your duvet may not obviously be high in your list of priorities (!) it is worth paying attention to.... 800 fill power means that far less down is needed to achieve the same warmth rating as inferior down/feather products,,,,, Also, the construction method uses baffles to ensure that there is no risk of cold spots that you can get when a duvet is simply stitched through i.e the design is great too.All of this translates to a really comfortable light weight and more breathable duvet for you and I.There are no obvious prickles from feather shafts either (cheaper “down” fillings use more feathers, often thicker ones and the shafts can pierce the fabric of a duvet). I saw no evidence of this.If you check out similar goose down products at John Lewis etc they will cost 3 times the price so this duvet is a real bargain. The only difference I can see is in the thread count of the cotton used- it is a little lower than the top end £500 goose down duvets you can get elsewhere. I decided I could live with that ! (And I think high cotton thread counts = stiffer sheets?). Anyway, I expect this duvet will last years as the cotton used is still great quality and it’s really the quality of the down inside that matters most.My experience of synthetic duvets in the past has been that they are bulkier and tend to overheat (they don’t breath as well). NB if you are storing a down product treat it more gently than a synthetic and pack it away fairly loose otherwise you will crush the contents and damage them)Hopefully, all of the above makes common sense and if you’ve read this far you are probably are wearing leather shoe owning person who is more or less happy with using feathers from birds (which, like leather, are another by product of the meat industry.....according to veganpeace.com). This can be an emotive topic for some and could explain the odd low scoring review on here. Each to their own I guess. I’m off to sleep.

Loose stitching
Loose stitching, feathers everywhere. Not worth the money.
