Its a buck knife!!
It's a buck Knife!!! Buck knives is a classic old American company that has been making knives sense 1902. They have a very long history and they even made knives for or troops in ww2. Buck Knives primarily manufactures sport and field knives and is credited with inventing the "folding hunting knife" and popularizing it to such a degree that the term "buck knife" has become synonymous with folding lockback knives, including those made by other manufacturers. With that in mind, I was surprised to see that Amazon has a buck knife available for just over $13. I was looking for something small, nice, and legal to carry in San Antonio, Texas. It's a city ordinance violation to carry locking blade here so I figured I would check out some plain old folding knives. When buying a knife it's a good idea to check your local laws so you don't risk looking or knife and getting fined. It's a whole lot smaller than I had anticipated. But that's a good thing. It's sharp as hell and just about perfect for day to day use. It disappears in my pocket but it has a nice weight to it so I know it's not falling out.On the blade there is a small "China" ingraved. Because of that I thought this was a counterfeit because buck knives is american. Because they are American I was able to call them up locally and I spoke to a nice lady and she told me that they have a line of knives that are made in China so that people don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get a buck knife. If you want a completely American made buck knife, you gotta pay much much more. This one is at the bottom of the line. But really, the only imperfection is the "China." I gave this knife 5 stars because it's exactly as advertised, the price is perfect, there is zero play in the blade, it opens and closes smoothly, it stays closed, the quality seems top notch, and it's just beautiful. I am very satisfied. Buy this knife.

Great value for above average pocket knife
Great little knife. It came "kind of sharp" but a few passes over the sharpener and it's perfect. Perfect pocket knife and Great value.

Great knife, very dull.
I wanted this knife for every day carry. I like to carry a minimal amount of gear on me and this knife fits that need. It feels durable, no loose parts, it has a nice firm click when you open the blade. The blade does not lock open, but it is very solid when opened. Overall it feels like a solid little knife. My only complaint is the edge on the blade, it's very dull. Once I figure out how to sharpen such a tiny blade, I'm sure I'll be more than satisfied.

This is just what I wanted. Typical buck quality. Great pocket knife.

Quality Jackknife
This knife has a nice feel in my hand. The sharpness is my responsibility. It's rounded/eased profile disappears in my pocket. Nice, small Jackknife.

Practical, Beautiful, and Easy to Have in Your Pocket
I expected this little pocket knife to be an excellent knife, but I am thrilled by how beautiful it is. The workmanship and materials are wonderful. The wood on the sides is beautifully shaped and finished. All the parts fit together perfectly. The design of the blade is wonderful. It arrived razor sharp. Because it looks thin from the side, I wondered if it would seem too flexible or even flimsy near the point. But it's thick enough that it feels appropriately strong all along its length. (You should know better than to use a good knife to pry something open.)The sharp part of the blade is exactly two inches long. The knife is three inches long when it is closed. The shape makes it easy to carry in your pocket. You won't even notice it's there, which is what I wanted. The blade is stainless steel, so it will look good indefinitely. The curved end of the handle feels good in your hand when the knife is open. There aren't many things that strike me as perfect, but to me, this knife is perfect. It's design, materials, and excellence in workmanship are amazing. It's a work of art.

Ok knife.
This is a Somewhat ok knife. The wood is nice and high quality. The locking mechanism is really good. The only issue is it did not come sharpe at all and that’s why I gave it a 3 star rating. Every knife should come sharpe bottom line. I also noticed it does not say China on the blade. Ether enough people complained about buck making their knives from China or Buck started making them in USA again.Overall I’d recommend this knife if you know what you’re doing when it comes to sharpening.
