Can you use wood for fuel besides charcoal

The fire bowl size for this grill is large enough to use wood well.

Some of the competing products have only 3 legs. Cant tell from this products pictures….does the base have 3 legs or 4?

The base of the grill is 3 legs, which is a geometric design, with 3 points forming a horizontal plane. Therefore, whether the grill is placed on the table top, or other uneven ground, the grill can be kept stable and will not shake.

If the entire thing is cast iron, does everything get hot, what is it safe to put it on?

like a Hibatchi and being cast iron...the entire unit gets hot. The feet stay cool enough to not burn a flammable surface. To be safe...because of hot coals and smoke...never use indoors and only on non-flammable outdoor surfaces such as brick, cement, stone, etc. Let common sense prevail, also far enough away from any flammable material. Keep kids and pets away.
