Warning. this product promises something that is too good to resist. If you buy and keep it in your work fridge then just know that everyone will be using it to sweeten everything. I can not attest to this product helping me lose weight because although diet is key in weight management. A sweetener isn't going to make a dent unless you exercise and eat healthy consistently and in general. So the way to review this product is to describe what you'll get. The sweetness is subtle. The taste is more like a blend of vanilla extract and molasses. the color is dark and will turn everything you sweeten a dark brown. the packaging is friendly and easy on the eyes as it seems like a food product. I've purchased yacon syrup from other companies and they have used what looks like medicine bottles. That's just strange to me and makes me ponder on why they would do that. Maybe to build a reputable ethos, or maybe those bottles are cheaper and make this pretty expensive product easier to bottle... Anyways.. Just google Yacon until you feel confident you are either ready to purchase or move on. The claims are that it sweetens without putting you through the whole sugar process. If the product is safe, organic then to me it's worth a try at least. Head's up though this 12oz bottle goes for close to 20USD so don't be afraid to tell your loved ones to get their own.

When this brand had the large, wide mouthed bottle product available, I had no problems using the full contents. However, I am now on the 2nd bottle of the three pack and both bottles turned to a thick sludge halfway thru use. I am unable to get out of bottle without cutting it open an microwaving with kills the nutritional benefits. Before one mentions that sludge is normal, again, I have purchased this specific brand with no issues in the past. I will look for another brand in the future as I am only able to use half the purchased product.

I was so excited to receive and try this brand of Yacon Syrup (as I've tried a couple different ones before) and read reviews that this is 'the best'; unfortunately...I HATE it. Not only does this one actually have a calorie count, but it tastes funny. Not rich, thick and "caramely" like the other but more like an artificial taste that I can't place. I'm bummed that it has "13 calories" per serving when this should actually be calorie, fat and carb free! I need to figure out how I can send this back to the seller because this is an EPIC FAIL! I saved $5.00 on this purchase but have now realized that it really wasn't worth it!

Not worth the price. This one's for the Rockefellers. Tastes a bit "cough syrupy." MIght buy if cheaper just for purported health benefits.At least they will refund your cost.

I have tried 3 different brands of Yacon Syrup and this one is the worst!There is a LOW FOS..only 40%! You can find other brands with 50% or HIGHER.This bottle has NO expiration date printed anywhere on it, and I even contacted the company for more information..did not hear back. The sticker label on the bottle was worn and had blacked out words on it..??After trying 2 other brands of Yacon syrup, this one tasted bland, watered down and a little 'chunky' and stale..probably expired!

Tastes great. I am going through it very fast so I wish there were more.

All opinions are 100% mine.Funny that someone said they tried three brands and this one was the worst because I actually going to say the opposite: I've tried three brands and this one was the BEST! It has such a rich, sweet flavor and it’s thicker than the others I’ve tried. The flavor is very noticeable in tea (that’s mainly how I like to use it), unlike the others and it adds a welcome deep maple-like flavor.Yacon syrup, especially this brand, has proven to be a very delicious and healthy sweetener for tea, oatmeal, homemade chia seed pudding, and anything else where I’d usually use sugar. In most cases, I only need to use a tablespoon of this and nothing else for sweetening.One good thing about Yacon (for me) is that it helps to keep me regular. I have GERD and the many issues that accompany it, so being regular is important. Whenever I have some Yacon, I can be sure that I won’t be blocked up that day. It also doesn’t cause me to break out like white sugar because it doesn’t have any negative effect on my hormones. I love it! :)
