A Year at the Chateau: As seen on the hit Channel 4 show

I've only recently started watching the TV series and have loved it so thought it would be nice to read the book. The VERY big downside is the section on hunting - I'm very anti blood sport and this spoilt the book for me. When will people learn this is unacceptable

It’s really not often I get the chance to read, but if there’s a book I fancy, I’ll buy it knowing one day the opportunity will come.I have utter respect for this family. Hard graft, talent, desire and a dream of a better life is utterly inspiring. I pre-ordered this back in June & it arrived on Thursday. I am already half way through! It’s a good read and I’m struggling to put it down. It fills you with joy, anticipation and a ‘can do’ attitude & that’s everything I need right now!

Pre ordered in June and devoured in 2 days. As a huge fan of the TV series and having met this wonderful couple early this year it was a must for me and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Loved the format of being written from both Dick and Angels perspective. Made me laugh and reading about their wedding made me well up. Some much needed positivity and a true escape from the current worries of the world. Sincerely hope we get another instalment from the Chateau

Dick and Angel, this is just gorgeous. Received today and am already reading it, snuggled up under a blanket with a glass of wine. Its so beautifully written that I can actually hear your voices narrating the story as I'm reading.

The book is well written and because of the script in the book a heavy print and a light one for Angel and Dick`s dialogue it makes the book come to life. Straightaway you are engaged in their journey to this fairy tale chateau.
