Looks best when off
Product picture is accurate as of end of September 2016, if that matters to you.Electrical:I've not tested the lights with a dimmer, so no comment there.Light reads 2-4 MΩ across the contacts (read with Fluke 87III), good for not getting a little zap.Cheap kill-a-watt meter reads 0.06 mA (close enough), seven or eight point something W of real power (I can't remember), and a PF of zero point eight something. Not the most efficient thing and it probably puts out a good bit of electrical noise, but it's roughly correct.Quality Control:Number the LED filaments 1 to 6. One (out of three) of the bulbs received has filaments 1 and 3 out, filament 2 works intermittently. Shaking the bulb makes filament 2 flicker on and off.Long life? I don't know yet.Visual:The bulbs do have a 60 Hz flicker. When I put my hand under them and move my hand, I see the flickering. You might care, you might not.I'm not a huge stickler for CRI, but these bulbs are terrible. They're, I dunno, low seventies CRI? Everything under them looks a bit off. Next to high-80 to low-90 CRI LED lights (also 2700 K), these look really bad.The color temperature is probably vaguely 2700 K, but the terrible CRI makes it look really weird.Omnidirectional? Yeah, I guess. The enclosure/bulb is glass, as claimed, although you can see a green tint at the edges. (So I think that means it's cheapo soda-lime glass.)The description claims 700 lumens, I don't know if it achieves that. Of course, the description says that's a 65 watt equivalent, which is a bit of a stretch (60 watt incandescent is roughly 800 lumens).I buy weird bulbs, this one is a regrettable purchase.Buy it if you really like the look of it when it's off, otherwise keep in mind that this thing is kinda bad.
