The item was an "Amazon Choice" amongst many other hamburger pressers. Good value. Works well. Its not HEAVY so you are the press for the presser (some pressers are real heavy but not this one). It is what is a bargain hamburger presser!

My husband was frustrated for ages that his burgers would not cook evenly in the middle, and chicken breasts especially would puff up and get over cooked on the outside and take longer in the center. This grill press tool resolves those issues. He just pushes those puffy chickens down and they cook nice and even and are easier to slice up for salads or wraps or sandwhiches. The burgers come out better as well. My husband can't believe he never got one sooner. So if you're looking for a gift for your favorite grilling fiend, this is the perfect addition to their kit!

This is a nice tool for smash burgers. The surface is large enough and it feels sturdy. It would be nice if it was a bit heavier. The wooden handle also means it is less dishwasher friendly. If the price is good as you read this, I think it is a good choice for various smashed foods on the grill. It is not worth a high price.

I had been using spatchulas for smashburgers and they didn't work quite right. I could never get them flat enough. As soon as I used this press my burger game got a lot better! I could smash them more evenly, and more flat. It's easy to hold, to wash, and to clean. The price was great too! Can't ask for more than that!
