I was watching TV with a friend and I saw an add for this "Red Volcano" pan. We laughed, it was your typical frying pan informercial and I was razzing it. I mean, how many times are they going to re-invent the non-stick frying pan. The longer I watched it (this always happens), the more I started becoming interested. What caught my attention was one particular feature they are pushing, that it heats up much faster than other pans. This would be great for searing. I jumped on Amazon and purchased it as a joke. I ordered this so-called "10 inch" pan. Let me start off by saying once I received it, I was pleasantly surprised by look and feel of the pan. The surface is like a ceramic, but it's not completely smooth, it's sort of mottled. The weight is good, handle solid. Some of these As Seen on TV pans are too lightweight. This pan seems substantial. The non-stick is really good, nothing sticks. I do use a non-stick spray with it because I want to protect the finish. All of these "miracle" ceramic non-stick claim to work without any oil or spray, but don't believe it. The non-stick fades using it dry, that and washing with soap. Whatever you do, don't put this pan in your dishwasher. To clean, only rinse with water and wipe the inside with a towel. Do this and it will be good as new for a very long time. The one issue I have with it is the size listed. It's listed as a 10-inch frying pan, but measured from the top it's actually 10 5/8" diameter. Since doesn't come with a lid, if you'll need to purchase it separately. You need a 10 1/2 inch lid. I found one that fits and works perfectly. It's a 10 1/2 inch silicone rim lid and it's perfect. It's not one of those over-hyped As Seen on TV disappointments. It truly is as advertised. Coupled with the silicone rimmed lid it stays on top of my range. It is my go-to pan.

EXTRA HEAVY, TOO STRONG, NOT FOR EVERYONE, BUT GREAT PIECE, ALSO MAGNIFICENT DELIVERY

On the small sauce pan there is a spot where the coating is missing, see pic. I HATE RETURNING THINGS!!! Seriously I do! I will not be returning this pot because I don't want nor need the aggravation in doing so. I accept that it is a hit or miss when ordering online. I believe overall it is a hit, all the other pots and pans, respective lids are in excellent condition. I will see later how they withstand to cooking. I am happy with my purchase. The price was under $100, excluding taxes and other fees. They seem sturdy and well made. I tend not to be hard on my things so I believe initially they will be useable for many years to come. Hand washing is recommended. High heat is discouraged. I bought the red version which is exactly what wanted, a deep red, lovely! UPDATE: Cooking with has been exactly what expected. They cook evenly, with using less oil too, no sticking. However the handles do get hot, I burned myself! I find if I carefully position the pan/pot it doesn't get so hot. Still very happy with them!

I bought this wok pan a few days ago and used it for the first time today. I cook on an electric glass cooktop so the traditional wok does not work so great. I have a 14 inch Cuisinart stainless steel wok pan which is very cumbersome on my cooktop. It does work quite well but it is very large for just my wife and I. The Red Volcano at 11 inches is the perfect size for my cooktop and for the amount of stir fry for the two of us. It is a very solid pan but is also not too heavy; weighing in at about 2.75 pounds. It seemed to have good heat distribution and cooked the stir fry evenly. I cooked on medium high heat and the food came out perfectly. Another thing I like is that the pan has extra thickness on the flat bottom which I think will help keep the pan from warping. The ceramic nonstick looked like it is very well made however I will only use non-metal utensils. The pan was a breeze to clean. I let it cool down and then used warm water with a dishcloth. I chose not to use soap but it would be OK to use a little. I then dried it with a paper towel and it was clean. I highly recommend this pan which is much cheaper than other pans and I believe just as good. If anything changes I will post an update. If you like stir fry then buy this pan.

Purchased these almost 3 years ago and still no sticking!! Great product.. no wearing or hard places to clean.. only issue I find is handles get hot easily.. Would be nice to make them further out or add a protected or even offer handle grips with package.

I am in love with this pan. It is beyond crazy how slick it is. The first time I made eggs in it and gave the skillet a shake the eggs almost flew out and on the stove, haha. It cooks really nice, and ground turkey, and the cleanup is a breeze. Only had it for a week so will come back in some months and do a follow up. I will say that is a really nice Non-Stick pan for the price. Follow up, March 16 th. Ok so I have had my skillet for about 2 months now and still love it. It is as good today as the first day I used it. So far a great pan especially for the price.

I would describe myself as very good at putting things together, but since you have to search the listing itself to find directions (at the bottom) which were clearly added - after people complained when they were not included in the package. Additionally, the instructions such as they are, are written in pink ink on a white background. Fairly annoying. All that said I managed to put it together. I probably could have made a better purchase, but hey, hindsight is 20/20, right? Life goes on and you've been warned:-) Best of luck.
