Moon Santa Fe, Taos & Albuquerque (Travel Guide)

Excellent guide with nuanced reviews of everything from hiking trails to museums, restaurants, and hotels. E.g., recommended Canyon Road in Santa Fe but gave fair warning about the commercialism of the many art galleries there. Restaurant recommendations were spot on, but somewhat few and far between (just to cite one example, one should add the superb Thai restaurant at the end of Canyon Road). Also, sparse listing of hotels and motels; Booking.com offers better info on the options. That said, the book is beautifully illustrated, the maps are first-rate, and the book stands up well to travel -- it's a great value, and it helped improve a wonderful trip to New Mexico in early April 2022 -- which incidentally is a great time of year to avoid the crowds!

The book has decent info. Photos are a bit low res on a tablet. Ebook crashes constantly.

Great resource for New Mexico. Covers all aspects of touring & includes beautiful color photos.
