Psychology of Champions: How to Win at Sports and Life with the Focus Edge of Super-Athletes

Meh.
I put off buying this book for over a year due to the price. An athlete I really respect in my martial art said that the book 'changed his mindset to competing and made him that much better'. I figured that he had no reason to promote the book other than it helping him, so with a competition approaching I bought it.Finally it came and I suppose my expectations were too high. I already understand meditation/being in the moment, overcoming the mind and a bit more on sports psychology, so nothing in here was very earth shattering for me. Anything that may have been a fresh look at something could have been easily found on google. The first half of the book was very boring and near the end there was maybe two chapters of significance. If this book was 15-25$ I might recommend it to a friend, but considering the price point is 50-60$, I have to say it's not worth the money. This is no miracle cure all to being a champion. If you haven't a clue about understanding your own mind, how to set goals, or the right mindset to have to make sure you enjoy the game vs being an emotional basket case, this book is for you.

Excellent - A Book for Champions
This is an awesome source of information; not just on what it took for people to become champions but their thought processes and outside influences. From visualization to self-doubt and anxiety this book walks the reader though the important factors in self-improvement and personal growth. It doesn't matter if your an athlete or not. Psychology of Champions provides great insight into becoming a champion, raising a child to be a champion or coaching others to be champions, etc. I'm certainly not referring only to the field of athletics either it could be that you want to be a champion of a cause or an industry; it all works here!

Just a book of quotes
This book is such a waste of money. It's just a book of quotes from accomplished athletes like Jordon. Does not go into their psyches with no guidance on how to get to that point.
