This is excellent starter to make makowce. You can use it by itself but it is very sweet and it's missing the the occasional real poppy seed but this is ready to go. I like to mix it with my fresh poppy seeds to give more flavor. On the top of that I add walnuts, raisins and rum. But make your own experiments to see what will work the best for you.

Very difficult to find reasonably priced poppy seed for baking. It does have a slight orange taste and the can clearly states that on the label. Much less expensive that other brands if you can use a large size can.

Was very disappointed. Can was very dented and poppy seed was all over can.

Love using this with crescent pastry, it's good together...

We made a great choice when we got this to make our usual Christmas rolls. We had no fear of running out of product since the can held plenty for two rolls. Great taste and texture and it holds a little more surprises which adds to the taste, It's a great product and we will buy it again,. Thank You!
