As advertised
I ordered these skirts along with a few others to rebuild some of my wahoo lures that had been shredded. I'm new to working on the lures (usually drop them off for service at my local tackle shop), but thought I would give it a try. I have a couple "Mr Bigs" that I use for high-speed trolling. I measured the skirts on my lures before ordering and they were 12". The ones I ordered were 12", but the diameter of the skirt is too small to fit. The length looks about right, but they are not quite as large in circumference or thickness of material. No worries, I have a bunch of tuna and mahi lures that they will probably fit. Just a heads up to double check what you need before ordering.

Make your own lures ~ !
PRO:1. Perfect size, color, and design.2. Be advised these are cut from a huge sheet of rubber, vinyl, plastic, whatever it is, and the colors are splashed on that sheet, so the colors will very. You are ordering the overall color.3. I needed dark colors, so these work great.4. Will order more.CON:1. I did get scared for a second when I saw some odd color pattern (pictured), then realized it was just how the color is splashed on / added to the rubber / vinyl / plastic. So, think of it as an adventure, you will get something unique each time.2. Size, yes, they are smaller than what folks think, but for me, they are perfect. See HOW TO below.OTHER:BUY if you are into making your own lures for a fraction of the cost.DON'T BUY if you are looking for 4" round, huge skirts, these are not it.How to build your own:1. Find an old spark plug socket. Put soap on it, slide that inside the skirt.2. Cut off 12-14 feet of 1.2mm stainless steel cable or 300lb mono line.3. Cut tip of this skirt off, tiny hole.4. Put hole in film canister or pill bottle.5. Run cable or line through in this order.A. Film canisterB. SkirtC. Spark Plug Socket (inside the skirt)D. A rubber stopper with a hole in it, up inside the socket, line or cable goes through that stopper.E. A plastic fishing line bead, anything to buffer between the stopper and the first line crimp.F. Slip some shrink tube over the line, don't heat yet.G. First branch off line crimp with cable lead, about 4" to first hook (crimp hook too).H. More shrink tube, used to cover the crimps / joints at the second lead line / end of main cable.I. Crimp a hook at the end of the main line second (end) hook.Use chaff tubing at all joints.Enjoy!
